a ballads recent sales figure
It is 474,600 copies, not a very good sales. I think her popularity is tremendously fall.So sad........:(
|

|

But it is not released in Singapore yet....so muz wait
|
that # seems kinda small :(
I thought her previous CDs sold around 1 million... =/ |
But she is still getting the first place in the Oricon Chart, right?
erm, for those who are confused about dump truck, that's American English. It has the same meaning as Garbage Truck. Well, just use your own English.... nothing wrong about it I guess :D The figure seems unstatisfying....but overall she needs time to accumulate her sale rate, plus the economy in Japan is bad... |
well...
1. it is a compilation 2. it's being released shortly after her latest album 3. there haven't been any new singles in between these two releases (RAINBOW & A BALLADS) 4. sure some of the songs on the compilation are new versions but some are just the same songs that were on RAINBOW!!! 5. she's been #1 in the daily chart all week long so I wouldn't worry, we really need to see sales figures for the rest of the week to figure out how much she really sold, I remember Miki Fujimoto hitting #1 in the beginning of the week of the release of "MIKI #1" but she didn't make it to #1 at the end of the week - just like Miyuki Nakajima had a #1 in the weekly chart with the re-release(?) of her double A-side "Chijyou no hoshi/Headlight, taillight" but never was #1 in the daily chart (maybe in the end of the week) |
and
6. Isaac Hiew's point: Japan's economical state is pretty bad at the moment! :P |
she's coming out with too many compilations...
it's basically the same songs only collected together as a compilation album... i have to admit that i'm getting bored n fedup of having to dig my wallet so often to buy her cds with the same songs... haih....what to do....i'm too big a fan to miss any of her albums.. |
Well, this was expected. It was a daring release. And Avex is reaping the results. You reap what you sow.
|
hardly a daring release when it goes to #1...
anyway, that Ayu overkill from 2001 and onwards would sooner or later fall back on her |
What I meant was, daring release in terms of high sales. Avex couldn't have expected extremely high sales from this cd when everyone just bought "Rainbow" and her concert dvds. As stated, it was daring.
|
well, it's already sold half a million and compared to the ayu-mi-x/ayutrance releases that is excellent!
I doubt avex would have expected it to sell anything like A BEST did - if they did it must have been because RAINBOW didn't sell as much as expected and in that case they should have done something to raise it's sales - like releasing another single instead. so I don't think A BALLADS have sold much less than expected |
I think she's doind fine. I'm also glad Aya Matsuura and Kou Shibasaki are doing well on the charts XD;
|
avex has really got to realize that the fans don't have an endless load of money to buy all the stuff they release. A Ballads should have been released way later during the year. what's the rush?
|
the fans wallet problems r not that serious...
what Avex should consider is the way they're taking every single opportunity to earn money from Ayu...they may be earning much but at the same time these stuffs r taking a toll on Ayu's popularity...ppl will get bored too soon if this continues... they should learn from the Spice Girls's fall...too many merchandises...a movie....they even wanted to come out with their own car.. |
