Beyonce's new album

B'Day is going to be released September 4, her twenty-fifth birthday (she's still so young even though she's been a star since the late '90s). Here's the cover:

I find it quite disappointing. She can be so gorgeous, it's a shame such a dull and passive look was chosen for the cover.

Since I'm not a fan of Deja Vu, I'm hoping the rest of the songs aren't too much like it. Beyonce's next album after B'Day is actually the one I'm really looking forward to - the Dreamgirls soundtrack. The clips/songs have looked and sounded amazing (seems that Beyonce will get to be glamorous and charismatic), and the Cannes preview got some rave reviews.

The cover is horrible. She somehow look very old like that...

cybermoomba 19th July 2006 08:02 PM

She looks like a drag-queen :shrug

Ayu_Fan_00 19th July 2006 08:13 PM

She looks so freakin` old in that picture. ewww.

Brittany 19th July 2006 08:22 PM

The cover makes her look like a plastic barbie doll *cries*

Aisha_Angel 19th July 2006 08:41 PM

ehh...looks like Ayu's "my name's WOMEN" hairstyle in a way. lol, the cover is ugly though.

It took her two weeks to record the entire album...I say of course it's going to be bad. Sorry ya'll but i don't really have any positive feelings for this one.

TeamAyu 19th July 2006 08:51 PM

That cover is just plain ugly... good thing I'm not a Beyonce fan.

However! I am looking forward to the film "Dreamgirls".

that has to be the most unattractive cover pic I have ever seen. *and her lips looks inflatable, like a float*

Princess_Of_Roses 19th July 2006 10:50 PM

Ah ha ha ha ha ha! OMFG she SO does. I like Beyonce' but dayam that is a nasty cover, it ALMOST beats Ayu's (m)u cover......alsmot.

Mad_Cactuar 20th July 2006 10:00 AM

OH MY GOD. And I thought Deja Vu was horrendous. Ew ew ew ew ew ew.
"Attack of the 1960's drag queen from England!!!" should have been a better name.

However, the text is very beautiful. I have no faith in this album as the previous one was so dissapointing I wanna cry each time I put it on.

TALULU 20th July 2006 11:07 AM

and viva photoshop!

Bazaa 20th July 2006 12:16 PM

Really, what were they thinking when they did the cover? >_< Beyonce is so pretty and they totally ruined her XD

Well, I hope that this will be as good as dangerously in love. I loved that album :love

Keishi 20th July 2006 12:22 PM

perhaps her old looks to emphasize the "birthday" part?

Mad_Cactuar 20th July 2006 12:32 PM

She looks sad too. So unbirthday ish. I was expecting a really joyous cover, one with her sitting on a chair or something laughing while the wind blew her hair. This is just.. bleh.

Love Appears 20th July 2006 12:44 PM

I don't think she looks bad per se. The pose could have been more creative and yeah, it lacks expression, but I'm not seeing old or drag queen-ish.

Although, the font they used for B'Day looks very amateur, and the swirly effect looks like a bad Photoshop brush.

Dustie 20th July 2006 01:08 PM

Yeah, a pretty wierd cover... almost as if somebody just told her "ok, you're fired since tomorrow." LOL

And her song Deja Vu sounds almost exactly the same as Crazy In Love. Both videos also have exactly the same concept -- solo Beyonce dancing, solo Jay-Z rapping, then they're shown together. That's it. And somebody was paid dozen thousands of dollars for "directing" it. Sheesh...
