I wonder d'u guys like her or have heard of her??? she'z very popular in canada and i think the states too...she's canadian so many teens here imitate her style, like super long sleek straight hair with tee/vest and a tie....she's labelled as a rebellious punk girl...but i dun think her music is really punk though...more pop..i like some of her songs like COMPLICATED, I'M WITH YOU, SK8ER BOI....

Avril Lavigne only sing good on her album...but her performances suck big time.....i used to be her big and huge fan but not now....she never seen to perform good. always low voice...but her new song "i'm with you" was good.

i did go through an avril stage...den ayu released " rainbow " d album n i dashed my avril " let go " cd to the back of the junk lol and started danciing to ayu once again:D

I love her song "Complicated", but other than that she's alright.

I don't like Avril. I guess maybe I'm just too old for her genre, but I think her songs are really hokey. Esp. Sk8ter Boi. Or however the heck you spell it.

i used to LOVE avril when i got a smaple cd of hers ... but then she got sooo overrated...

and no you see all these little avril runnign around the streets... wearing wifebeaters and ties.... BTW...

My friend sooo did that ages ago... and she blows up everytime some says to her...

i don't really like her. at first she was ok but now her songs sound extremely boring compared with jpop artists and i don't really like her look cause it makes her look like she's constantly pissed off

it's not very often I can claim to hate anything, but I can honestly say I hate Avril Lavigne's music. To me her singing comes off as an attempt to show up the other pop artists (Chibinina pointed this one out already) and the fact that she doesn't truly represent punk. granted, I don't like punk much, because punk bands claim to be "unique" and not posers when they really copy each others' styles, but at least punk bands can be funny. Avril happens to dress up punk-style, and talk about being yourself, yet she enjoys the fact that other people want to be like her. kind of hypocritical, don't you think? I just look at her as this year's brittney spears- c'mon, is that what the music industry has resorted to these days- release more of the same, so that the radio ends up playing the same songs, all of which sound the same? it drives me nuts listening to my friends' hip-hop stations, because it's the same Avril, Shakira, Eminem, and other songs every day- it's annoying. my stations repeat sometimes, but generally they don't play the same song hourly (except my old favorite rock station, which overplays the new Linkin Park on an hourly basis).... I mean, do we honestly need to hear the same song so many times.... well, now that I've gotten off topic, I'll try to get back on... basically, Avril reminds me of why I'm not a fan of North American pop (notice I said North American, I do recognize the fact that she's Canadian, and I won't diss them, because Canada produced Our Lady Peace, one of my favorite bands)

I honestly cannot stand her music. It is way too cheesy and just plain boring. I have yet to figure out why some people say she is punk. If you want to hear punk listen to stuff like Pennywise, NOFX, The Ramones, etc. I really can't stand the fact that she ruined System of Down's "Chop Suey". She absolutely butchered that song. She had no business attempting it in the first place, IMO.


Yeah you shouldn't diss Canadian bands. One of my favortie bands, Rush, is one of them. OLP is cool too.

The "punk" in Avril goes no farther than her clothing. Her songs certainly aren't punk. I don't know why she says they are, or why others say they are. They're not. They're pop.

And Krystal, great rendition of "I'm with you." :roflmao

She's ok.
