The Kimura Kaela Thread

There hasn't been one created for this lovely girl yet, so here I am to do her some justice! Time for all of you Kaela fans to show yourselves, and feel free to talk about anything Kaela! :yatta

So to kick things off, how do you find Kaela? I think she's utterly insane in a very adorable way! I love how she does silly things that surprises us again and again.

That's girl's the epitome of style.

I first checked out 'RIRURA RIRUHA', because she reminded me of Shiina Ringo just from the cover. After seeing the 3 PVs someone uploaded from the 'Circle' first press DVD, I knew I had to order the first press straight away before it runs out.

Hopefully her next album will follow suit and include the PVs from the singles on a DVD.

Kaela = <333

I love her! Magic Music has become one of my favorite songs of this year.

Circle is one of the best JPop songs ever made, IMHO. :luv2

elepop 24th September 2006 05:18 PM

I really like her album "Circle"! :heart

sexysaucestar 24th September 2006 05:36 PM

I was wondering when Kaela would get her own thread :P

She was considerably "big" while I was in Japan, so I became curious as to what was so great about her; bought her album "Circle" and found the reason to her greatness :P She's got an interesting style. ^^

I'm so glad I managed to place an order for that too. It's coming in another week or two, I can't wait! :)

Magic Music was insanely catchy. Even my friend who doesn't listen to J-pop at all wanted me to play the song at work, just so that we could all get hyper and work faster. :laugh

I didn't like her debut album, but I like Circle and Magic Music.

"Takaku takaku JUMP shite" is so catchy, it's insane. :tired

Too bad she doesn't host SAKU SAKU anymore. It was so cool.

Actually I got to listen to her while watching, 'Attention Please!'. Her cover of 'Pretty Woman' is definately amusing and charming. I might check her music out if I have more time.

Word. Saku Saku was addictive to say the least. If I could wake up to that kind of a morning show everyday, I'd go to work a happy man.

*Buys the SAKU SAKU Vol.2 DVD with Kaela on Yesasia.*

Love Kaela. My favorite songs border between Circle and BEAT. I also love how her videos are so trippy.

And I love her haircut. :yes

I'm so tempted to buy both volumes! But my pesky common sense is holding me back because I can't understand most of the stuff they're talking about. :( And they ain't got no translations either...

It's been eerily quiet around here...

Well, in case you didn't know already, Kaela has teamed up with the Sadistic Mika Band in their revival this year, and their collaborative album NARKISSOS was just released on Wednesday. Amongst other songs, Kaela does a cover of their classic "Time Machine ni Onegai", as well as the lead single "Big Bang Bang".

Sadistic Mikaela Band official site. Yes, the band members decided to alter the band's name to highlight the inclusion of Kaela.

And also, there is currently talk about her having a yet-unnamed single for release in January 2007. More stuff to look forward to!

Listening to the Sadistic Mika Band album now. http://www.jpopmusic.com/forums/images/smiles/music.gif

Cute picture on the official site.

hallelujah_united 29th October 2006 05:36 AM

I've been listening to it too. It sounds like something that I'd play in the car, seeing that my dad likes this rock and roll sound they have as well.

stephymoo 30th October 2006 02:29 AM

Is she not going to release anymore songs as a solo artist?

hallelujah_united 30th October 2006 03:02 PM

She will, in January. Her work with the Sadistic Mika Band was as a guest vocalist for an album only.

stephymoo 30th October 2006 03:21 PM

Oh I see. Yay, that makes me happy! I <3 Kaela. She is so silly & cute!

AyuGAME 31st October 2006 02:19 AM

can someone upload her album circle? i want to hear her songs...at YSI please...i know her from dorama "attention please"

hallelujah_united 31st October 2006 03:54 AM

Check back in the Downloads section later, I'm in the process of uploading it now. :)

And yes, Kaela is too silly and cute for our health.

*EDIT* I'm sorry, but I couldn't compress the album to under the 100MB for free accounts. Does SS work for you?
