I just discoverd....

I just discoverd that my DVD Player Plays my BEST of SOUL DVD Region 3....do you think he plays all Region Code 3 DVds are just a few?

immel 18th October 2006 01:07 PM

If it plays one Region 3 DVD it will play all Region 3 DVDs.

Where did you get this DVD from?

truehappiness 18th October 2006 01:10 PM

What region are you? :|

thinkingoutloud89 18th October 2006 01:23 PM

I´m Region two and I got the DVd from yesasia

immel 18th October 2006 01:25 PM

Does it say Region 3 on the cover?

Your DVD player might be region free, do you know if it is or not? It should be, if it's able to play your Region 3 DVD.

thinkingoutloud89 18th October 2006 01:29 PM

yeah its says Region 3 on yesasia and obi...so...may it is free...but I didn´t found it in the manual

immel 18th October 2006 01:31 PM

If you check on the back cover of the DVD itself, on the lower part of it, there should be an area where it has information about the DVD, such as playtime, recommended age etc. You can see the region of the DVD there, just as to confirm it is 3.

Is it the DVD player for your TV you're talking about, or do you have one in your computer?

thinkingoutloud89 18th October 2006 03:33 PM

TV and its 3 ^^

thinkingoutloud89 19th October 2006 10:28 AM

my parents ones ins´t playing it..but somebody could have mentioned that the PC can change the Regional Code during burning ( I usual burn my DVds to let them heal^^)

evolusean 19th October 2006 07:21 PM

DVD players are weird. I bought an American region-free DVD once, and my player wouldn't even recognize it as a disc. Then I took a risk and bought a Korean region-free DVD, and it plays beautifully.

immel 19th October 2006 07:47 PM

^Surprises is what you life for.

@Ruffy - Did you burn a copy of your DVD, and it's the copy that you can play?

I'm a bit confused.

thinkingoutloud89 20th October 2006 04:01 PM

No my DVd player plays the original...but if yyou make a copy it plays everywhere^^

immel 20th October 2006 04:45 PM

Depending on what program you use, when you make a copy it'll be region free.

I'm still a bit weirded out by your DVD player... you should try to get your hands on another region 3 DVD to try.

Maybe the disc is simply region-free, despite the info about being region 3. Utada Hikaru's DVD releases are region-free, despite online shops tell it's region 2. But they do have it written on the boxes/discs that they're region-free in fact...
