I'm giving a speech on Ayu, any ideas?

Hi, I'm giving a speech on ayumi hamasaki: who she is, and her influence on Japan. I need all the information I can receive about her. I am typing my outline currently and I need to know what her life was like, basically, in chronological order.

So, she was born in Fukouka Prefecture, Right? and her father left her, and she grew up in a liberal home with her mother and grandmother, am I right?

The second part is Ayumi Hamasaki as a product, and how successful she has been. I need a complete list of awards or recognitions, and her bestselling albums and singles, and anything else interesting.

I need more information obviously, so anything would be appreciated.

It's due Nov. 6th ... :) lol

Thanks a ton you guys

BTW: If you have a really amazing 1-3 minute clip of ayumi (preferably with english subtitles), please send it to me in ".mpg" format. This is going to be shown to a lot of people, so, make sure its a good performance/movie!! :luv2 :luv2

I'm sure Ayumi's Wikipedia page can help you with the sales and awards.
I hope you can impress everyone with your speech, I did a writing piece on her and got maximum points. :)

EDIT: This translation of a "ROCKIN' ON JAPAN" interview has very valuable information as well. Link.

LUCKY U! wish I had a project like that.

Wikipedia, the library-translation thingy here and maybe Yesasia if your looking for release dates.

Hmm, an idea could be that you could (if you had the time/money) make a collage of like all of Ayu's greatest moments. Like print the pictures out and stuff. Perhaps...Or like you suggested an awesome 3-4 minute clip; maybe one of Ayu's greatest performances/PV. Oh and mention that Ayu is a control freak about everything she does and that she is indeed the *undisputed* queen of J-Pop.

Hope everything goes well, update us later on your progress and stuff if you can. I love Ayumi-homework assignments.

It's really good that you feel confident about it, tell us about how it was received when you've presented it :).
