Any reason behind taskin?

Anyone happen to know why Ayu has a few interludes all with taskin? taskinillusion(RAINBOW), taskinlude(I am...), tasking(miss(understood)) and now taskinst from the SECRET album? Is there a specific reason or does she do it just for kicks? Thanks.

They're all made by the arranger and song writer Tasuku.

task- comes from the name of the composer/arranger of all of these interludes. He is called tasuku, but his name is written stylized as "task", for two reasons: (1) "tasuku", when spoken naturally, sounds like "task" (the vowels get glazed over); and (2) keep reading.

The -inst part of the new title comes from the Japanese word insuto, which in turn is a shortened form of insutoramentaru. The words come from the English word instrumental, and mean the same thing as well.

It's kind of hard to explain, but as you can see above, the Japanese language can only represent English words with "extra" vowels. With many of these task- titles, they remove the extra vowels to come up with something cool (here is reason #2 for tasuku's name appearing as "task").

Rundown of task- titles:

taskinlude tasuku's in(ter)lude
taskinillusion tasuku's in(terlude)-illlusion
tasking tasuku-ing (i.e. doing what tasuku does, a pun on the word "tasking")
taskinst tasuku's instrumental

The titles make sense if you look at them.

The only title on this album that has me making faces is "kiss o' kill". It sounded very Irish to me at first, and then it sounded very ghetto. I thought of "Mo' Money Mo' Problems". It could be either the poor English "kiss of kill" or the poor English "kiss or kill". We have yet to see.

evolusean's a forum celeb. :P

He's a one man translation group! :O

Delirium-Zer0 11th November 2006 03:28 AM

Of which we definitely need a REAL one. He & Masa would kick butt. :)

truehappiness 11th November 2006 03:52 AM

Yeah.

And maybe devilayu too :P <3

It could go through masa for a quick translation, then English refinement by devilayu/evolusean..

I can see it now! :heart

Lets start the group behind their backs for them, so they won't have any other choice than translating for us 24/7.
