is nothing from nothing really a album??

in a bunch of disk bios it says that her first album release was a song from XX and from Ayumi prime super nova it says that it was a (pre Avex album)
what does this mean exactly?? and it seems that most of the songs from that album arent very popular :(

Norrel 12th November 2006 02:44 AM

Nothing From Nothing was a single, BEFORE she signed to Avex.
Then, she released an Album titled Nothing From Nothing, it had only 4 tracks.
They weren't popular because the album itself wasn't popular. Sales were HORRIBLE, which was why she didn't have anymore pre-avex stuff.

Her first album when she was signed to Avex was "A Song For XX"

Which label was NFN released under? I don't remember, if now I ever knew.

Technically, by todays standards and what I understand, the NFN "album" wouldn't be an album on the oricon charts, but yeah, there's an album and a single.

Delirium-Zer0 12th November 2006 04:37 AM

It was released on Nippon Columbia. And it would have been on the Oricon charts as an album, if it had sold more than three copies :P hehe... It's just a mini-album though, with only 2 new songs and a remix. *shrug*

BigAyuFan 12th November 2006 04:44 AM

but that gives me another question.in another disk bio, it said that
album 1-A song for XX
album2-LOVEppears
album3-Duty
album4-I Am
album5-Rainbow
MINI ALBUM-Memorial Address <-------
album6-My Story
album7-(miss)Understood

so my next question is,shouldent Memorial Address be album # 6??

Some discographies number mini-albums differently than albums. Some don't. Ayu counts mini-albums separately from regular albums (remember how she was saying that Secret was gonna be mini-album number 2, but now it's Full album number 8). It depends on how you wanna do stuff.

I don't number the releases at all (and didn't on my site, and still won't when it returns). It's just too confusing, and starts all these arguments on what counts & what doesn't count as a certain type of release. Just annoying really. :P

But anyway, last I checked, Oricon counts mini-albums on its album sale chart, since there really aren't enough mini-albums for them to have their own chart.

I agree, there was this big hullabaloo over at AYUnite! a few months back. Someone kept on insisting that BLUE BIRD was not 40th single, and that sparked off a biiiig argument and got rather wild :P In the end, we found out that the person counted a song is born with keiko as a single, that's why he thought BLUE BIRD was 41st. :eviltongu

Bingo. it's that sort of thing that's just plain silly, really. So I avoid numbering altogether cuz it doesn't really matter, now does it?

ok now thats out of the way 1 last question.when did A Museum tour start??and end.it was preformed before Memorial Address was released right??and dose anyone know if any more singes were released in between the AT03 and Memorial Address album.and also did the 30 for AT03 represent her 30th released single??sorry about all the questions trying to figure something out.:P

Misa-chan 12th November 2006 08:53 AM

I'm not sure of the exact start and end dates, but it started somewhere a few months after CDL, as always. And yes, it was before Memorial address was released. As for singles, all of 2003 singles were released after the tour, H, forgiveness and No way to say. Yep, 30 refers to 30th single commemoration. :)
