this is a nice article that i just found in tuesday chinese papers, i felt that i should share this here.

translation:
Ayumi hamasaki and Utada hikaru, though they seem to be rivals on the stage, but they are actually good buddies who love to go to gay bars to party! Fukada Kyoko is also one of their party mates.

Ayu and her team had always like to go to gay bars for relaxing. in Oct 2004,Ayu had even booked a bar that she usually goes to for her earlier birthday celebration. the japan media had saw Utada going into gay bars and she even sings to other customers's request.

Once, Ayu, Utada and kyoko happened to met each other in a gay bar. after exchanging some drinks and their songs, the three of them had become friends, this had shocked the onwatching customers!

although this is from a singaporean newspaper, i duno if i shld believe it or not.. lol it sounds absurd! whats the purpose of 3 girls visiting gay bars? no matter how pretty and sexy they are, they wun be able to attract any guys.. =x

Probably because of the same reasons that a few girls I know go to gay bars.

HAHA, ridiculous. It's funny how they say that Ayu and Hikki LOVE to go to gay bars to relax! I think Ayu has only seen once or twice? Same for Hikki? Anyway, it's pretty hard to believe. But if they are friends, that pretty cool. :cool But still. Very funny article! :laugh

Most girls I know go to gay bars because they don't like to be hit on lol
but I think a large portion of Ayu/Hikki's fanbase happens to be gay males (much like Britney Spears, Madonna, etc.) which is why they're seen often over there. Plus, gay clubs are fun :)

Just so that everyone knows, the information in this article should not be trusted more than if I wrote down that I saw Ayumi outside my house.

Only because you don't know the person who wrote the article doesn't mean it's the truth.

Sure, they might have gone to a gay bar, but look at the article, it's silly.

this is old news though...when the gay bar thing first happened they said utada hikaru was there i believe? can anyone else confirm that?

and the fact that ayumi at least was at the gay bar is practicaly 100% for sure as far as i know.

the purpose is to have fun. having fun doesn't mean that guys have to hit on them, i'd say actually they probably like knowing that they're not going to be hit on, plus ayumi and utada are already both in relationships.

omfg They can't let it go can they? I mean nice to see finally the press acknowledge the relationship, but does it really make a difference if they say "bar" vs. "gay bar". my god
