Playing music loud... by accident!

Does it happen to you? That you play music really loud in the house, when it's late, and everyone else is asleep, by accident?

When I go to sleep late, I stay up and listen to music. I use earphones so I don't bother anyone, but... sometimes, especially if I'm too excited about what I hear (lol :D), it happens that I accidently pull the plug out from the speakers and the sweet silence in the house is suddenly broken by a loud outcry of music! Moreover, it's usually some laughable stuff, like eurobeat by Hinoi Team or some Mini Moni song! Before I manage to plug the earphones back (as the cable usually swings away somewhere after it's forced out of the plug, so I have to look for it) or switch the speakers off, the whole house gets a 5-10 seconds music session as a lullaby.

Not often, but there are times when my dad, angry, comes to my room and tells me to turn down the volume or go to sleep :D

I was doing laundry a couple of weeks ago, and had my Shuffle attached to my jean pocket. Well, I leaned over the washer to pull some clothes out, and I must've pressed the volume against the machine, because suddenly Rina Aiuchi was so unbearably loud that I literally cried out in surprise! I was lucky I didn't go deaf for a moment.

I did play music loud by accident before but not in that situation.

I was listening to music via my phone (earphones) in my class. (Yes! Class!) All of a sudden, I dunno why but the plug came out and my phone went mad. So loud and everyone heard the song. I was like "oh no!" but I manage to keep my phone. Got a warning though. Hahaha.

I was listening to Ayumi - Fairyland that time by the way. So it is reaaaaaaaaaaly loud!

Mostly because loud to them dosent seem loud to me, but i forget my walls are pretty thin, and they get up early so, eh. Music to me has two volume settings: Mute, and full blast :thumbsup

theres no in between.

Oh and on the bus I forget my headphones leak a little, and i blast that stuff, and people just look at me. But they dont say anything so blast on! :shimmy

SCARY BUT TRUE!

i only listen music at 3/4 of the max volume..sometimes to 1/2 when rock music

Hmm, when I sit on the bus I have my mp3 player turned way up because there is a lot of other noise that makes it hard to hear, but sometimes I forget to turn it down so when I go walk to the bus in the early morning, when it is really quiet, I freak out sometimes cause the music is so loud in my headphones.

I know this feeling, especially in Japan, there are so many loud places, I need to turn it up to be able to enjoy.
I think I listen quite loud with my ipod : around 3/4 of the max volume, every morning for 1 hour and every night for 1 hour (transportation time)
I wonder this habit is very bad for ears.

summersnow 16th March 2007 02:42 PM

I always put on earphones while using the computer. It's my habit not to on my speakers in order not to disturb my family. BUT if no one is at home, I'll play music loud and enjoy it to the fullest. =)

Kodayumi 16th March 2007 04:28 PM

lol sometimes i plugged out the wrong thing and well, there goes the silence.

Vinylfantasy 17th March 2007 05:36 AM

It's always funny to go to a really loud place to a quiet place with headphones on. I always take an elevator to go to my first class and I always get awkward looks from people who can hear, "COME ON, VOGUE!" blasting from my earbuds.

Even better when they're the professors that look like they have a stick up their ass all the time.

:laugh

i used to do it at the office building i worked at. Its funny because all these people would cram into the elvator, and the building was multiple businesses in one building. But the 2nd floor was strictly a government office.

Well, It was funny cause i'd come in blasting some hard rock, getting dirty looks, and I'd be the only one getting off the second floor. Can you imagine their thoughts? "wow THATS running the government?"

i loved it <3 **** stereotypes! I rocked at my job, litteraly and not :cool
