I love trance :)

I love Alice DeeJay =)

I'm deeply in love with Ferry Corsten/System F, 4 Strings, Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren and Marco V, and I like a large number of other DJ's.

I'm not a great fan of the vocal eurobeat/slightly trance-ish music that Alice DeeJay produces. (And it's "Will I Ever" not "I Will Ever" ;)).

Ferry Corsten's Adagio for Strings remix:

Alice DeeJay brings back so many memories! I really don't know if it's "true" trance though, more like crossover eurodance. =P

I really liked the Ayla - Nirwana album , I think it's my favourite trance album. Here's a sample ayla song, allthough it's not on nirwana.

Is it just me or has trance become a lot "harder" lately?

cool_kickin_dude 26th March 2007 04:13 PM

I love Trance! Course you can't have trance without Tiesto or Oakenfold!:)

I think it depends on who and what sub-genre you're listening to.

And yeah, Alice DeeJay sure does bring back memories from the days when I listened to the radio, in the late 90's... I liked her lots :).

Halla 26th March 2007 06:35 PM

Harder Trance or "Hard-Trance" is definitely more "in" at the moment than plain Trance which is isn't as popular these days as it was few years ago.

I like Trance myself a lot too , or liked. I'm more into other types of eletronic music these days. I'll never get bored of the more dancey euro-trance tho, there's always a time & a place for that lol.

my favorite trance was basically the remixers from the first ayu-trance. Svenson & Gielen , System F , PUSH , Above&Beoynd & Armin van Buuren and etc.

I think japanese vocals go well with trance. my favorite trance albums are the first Ayu-Trance , ELT's trance remix album & Global Trance BEST by Globe. most western trance albums I like are just combilations , original trance albums just eventually bore me.

Halla & immel;

yeah, because you rarely hear the chilled out, but still danceable version, and never ever the trance + dance (trance with bridge and chorus vocals) anymore. I'm not really sorry though, as it was getting old and (ab)used up in the end. I still enjoy bonkers and that kind.

I think japanese vocals go well also because they're usually so high pitched. ^_^

immel 26th March 2007 07:52 PM

The only kind of vocal trance I can stand is, more or less, a (large) number of Ayu's trance remixes. I believe that places me in the category of thinking Japanese vocals go well with trance, too :P.

slowmoth 26th March 2007 08:14 PM

Ayutrance only :)

Miku 26th March 2007 09:17 PM

I love all kind of trance music (almost) :P

Marquez 27th March 2007 01:22 PM

Trance (& eurotrance/dance) is my fav. genre. :P

I love, of course, Ayutrance and my favorite trance artists are Scooter, Above & Beyond, Svenson & Gielen, Ferry Corsten, Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren etc. etc.

Well and.. I make trance myself too. :D

cool_kickin_dude 27th March 2007 06:21 PM

Of course, who doesn't like Ayutrance? There's a lot more music from trance that I like..I just wish I listened to it more now

Vinylfantasy 27th March 2007 09:00 PM

I love electronic music but I am not so big on trance like I was when I went to raves and stuff. Now I'm really into other genres like house, breaks, and drum & bass. Some trance DJs still hold special places in my heart for the nostalgia factor though, like Yoji Biomehanika and Suzy Solar.

Just for the record, no pun intended, Tiesto should not be considered the top DJ in the world. Yuck.

Weslicious 28th March 2007 12:30 AM

Eurobeat and Techno would be my normal preference, however there is sme good trance out there. It's just annoying going through the generic rubbish to find someone doing something different.

Weren't Alice Deejay more of a dance/disco set than full out trance? I love their 'Who need's guitars anyway' album. 'Back in my life' is still a regular on the playlist at certain clubs here.

Chandrachan 28th March 2007 01:00 AM

I LOVE Trance - specially Oakenfold - Dreadrock - LOVE!! - Darude - Armin Van Buuren - Paul Van Dyk - ofcourse I love all Ayu Trance's and ELT Trance too!! ^^

Miku 28th March 2007 11:27 AM

can someone recommend me some new trance singers/groups I know Alice DeeJay already :)
and thank you

Dustie 28th March 2007 08:42 PM

I like trance too, but only the subgenre presented by AyuTrance... not sure which one is that... I would use some tips on how to find more stuff like that. I'm not sure pure trance without any vocals (thus trance that's not remixes) would be interesting, but I can give it a try...

I can say that System F and Above and Beyond seem the best things out here so far. I haven't really heard Oakenfold's trance music, only his occasional numbers with other people (like Sterry Eyed Surprise), and I think I've heard DJ Tiesto music, just not sure if I liked it.. I think that was hardtrance and if hardtrance is this thing that sounds like techno with bits of trance melodies and such, then I might not like it... What I like in trance it's electronic, but it still has varying melody, like pop music.

cool_kickin_dude 30th March 2007 06:38 PM

definitely..wonder if we should ahve a trance request thread here as well?:)

immel 30th March 2007 06:40 PM

We wouldn't be allowed to upload anything licensed within the US, though.

Vinylfantasy 30th March 2007 09:31 PM

That's not hard since electronic music is so big in other parts of the world! :laugh
