When did Ayu become the Queen of J-pop
Do you guys know when media started to refer to Ayu as the "Queen of J-Pop"
I guess it's around "Duty" era... :no :yes :P |
Nawww... I don't think so. Is it?
I thought it started around LOVEppear era? No? |
I have NO CLUE XDD maybe from Duty or I am... who knows!
|

became the "Queen" after her first album! (but it sold tripple the amount of A Song For XX) |
Between LOVEppears and Duty, I'd say.

But anyways, I think Ayu became "the Queen" around LOVEppears-Duty, with the release of Boys & Girls and A that started her rise to #1. |
rainbow era i think.
|
RAINBOW?
No way. I'd sayaround LOVEppears/Duty. :) |
SHE WAS BORN A QUEEN!
Royalty is in her blood! |
I believe it was the year 2001 - that was when she released A BEST and went on to do Dome Tour, she was on the absolute top of the pop at the time.
|
I would also say around A-Single.....

I think post-I am... I don't think it would be anything earlier than A BEST.
|
i think its 2001. thats her prime period. when she released a single every alternate months. in 2002 RAINBOW era, her popularity went down.

Too far alot of people didn't like the rainbow album. It has to be during the time of Duty. Like how well I am.. did too, |
Not during the LOVEppears singles, she was just starting to become really popular, but not a queen. I think when SEASONS was released, she was above "really popular". Only someone who has been reached the queen status could release an album, a single and a DVD that would all top their respective charts.
|
I'd say it was the "Trilogy" (Vogue - Far Away - Seasons ) that finally elevated her above others.
LOVEppears era was succesful for her too , but mind you there were other succesful artists who could rival her during those times (like Ami Suzuki & MISIA). |
