2 Arena Tour questions...

Hi there!:shihi

I have 2 questions about the Arena Tours:

1. Why was there a Arena Tour 2003-2004? and not a Arena Tour 2003 and Arena Tour 2004?

2. I noticed that only AT05 and AT06 have names (MY STORY and (miss)understood), what about AT02 and AT03-04? Why don't they have names?

(I always call it Arena Tour 2002 ~I Am...~ and Arena Tour 2003-2004 ~Memorial Address~, don't ask me why)

THANK YOU

Hmm i don't know why there was AT 03-04. Maybe because there was this 30th single Museum concert ?

viola_123 24th April 2007 07:20 PM

i wonder about the 2003-2004 AT tour too!!

xiaou-xijiang 24th April 2007 07:29 PM

The reason anything before AT '05 isn't named by titles is because Ayumi didn't begin the trend until AT '05 MY STORY.

kinix 24th April 2007 07:30 PM

The tour started from end of 03 to mid of 04 including the countdown live.
Starting of 03 there's a TA limited Tour but was nv released on any DVD.

Those album theme concert only started from MY STORY. That you'll have to ask ayu themselves...

The AT 03-04 phenomenon is because they combined the AT with the CDL. In December 2003 there were two CDL performances, then a few months passed and the AT started, in 2004.

In 2003 no Arena Tour was held because I suspect they decided it was enough with the A Museum tour. Seems Ayu didn't want to repeat the two-tours-a-year schedule from 2002, which I can understand (Although there was the Limited TA Live ... :/).

The reason behind why the earlier tours don't have names is most likely because they didn't figure that out until for AT 05.

Maybe she thought that the name thing didn't sound good?

Like kinix said, there was no arena tour in 2003, there was the Team Ayu Limited Live in spring, and the A-Museum concert in fall.

Actually, I remember Ayu saying that "MY STORY is the first album that I 100% love and therefore I am confident on having a tour named after MY STORY"

And she loves (miss)understood, and Secret, so I guess from now on it'll be the norm...

ayu99persen 25th April 2007 01:10 PM

in my opinion
2001 = duty tour
2002 = i am tour
2003/2004 = memorial address tour
2005 = my story tour
2006 = mu tour
LOL

2001 would rather be "I am... TOUR" (lol), while 2002 would be "RAINBOW TOUR".

LOL, i never thought ayu would release an album which she doesn't
love 100%...:no ... thinking that if it becomes popular she'll have to
sing the songs more than only once !!

AyuHamasaki01 25th April 2007 03:58 PM

aha, i see...

Duty released on sep 2000 and I am... didnt get released until Jan 2002 therefore if u wana give themes to the concert 2001 = Duty, 2002 = I am... would be more appropriate.

Another reason why they combined CDL 2003-2004 2gether with Arena Tour 2004 would b the short time limit they have I guess since there was alr 2 concert tour during 2003 I think they dont have enough time to plan for the upcoming CDL 2003-2004 and Arena Tour 2004 therefore both were combined into a single Concert Tour.

ayu_fan929 25th April 2007 08:08 PM

2001 would actually be the "A BEST" tour.

Well she disliked releasing A BEST. "A Song is born" was kinda forced on to her for "I am..." and I'm sure in the past she had songs she really didn't love 100%....back when avex was all pushy pushy.

I'm sure a lot of things changed during the "INSPIRE" era when she shocked avex saying she could literally just leave.

AyuHamasaki01 26th April 2007 05:38 PM

^^yeah, I read somewhere that Avex forced her to make the A BEST album

Yukitora 26th April 2007 11:45 PM

Yeah, basically the other tours weren't themed with its respective albums and not made to promote them, though lots of the album songs would appear.

That's why they all look the same until AT05 xD

alternarist 27th April 2007 10:14 AM

well.. i think that starting from AT 2005, her arena tours are quite different from her previous arena tours in terms of costume, styles, stage etc.. and AT 2005 has a theme of emotions.. and i think it reflected it well in the concert, jus like her album. so perhaps she named the concert after her album?? as for AT 2006 and AT 2007, i think she jus wanted to continue the trend.

LacusClyne 27th April 2007 12:08 PM

and i believe My Story Tour was the start when she have more say and control over the concerts, in the past that are hardly any clips showing ayu's efforts into the concerts, as she did after My Story
