Kind Of Random
 

So, I was sitting here working on a DIV overlay for my MySpace while listening to Ayumi's albums (miss)understood, MY STORY, and RAINBOW on shuffle, barely paying it any attention. About a half hour later, totally submerged in my overlay, I suddenly stopped to listen, as though something told me that I didn't recognize the song playing. As I listened, I realized that, though I had heard it before, I had never really listened to it. The song playing was criminal and the way she sings it just hit me in such a way, I was completely in awe at how powerful her meaning in this song is even though I had never read the translation. So I looked up the lyrics and read them as she sang them, starting from the beginning. All I can say is, "whoa". Something seriously had to happen to her at some point to be able to write something like this and sing it so painfully.

This is now my favorite Ayumi song, replacing A Song for XX "030213 session take 2". :thud

yeah, sometimes it happens. it happens to me to, liking a song that was released ages ago. for me, the latest of such a song is dannii minogue - you won't forget about me, released in 2004

criminal is pretty great, eh? I didn't really like at first and actually would skip to the next track before the first chorus even came up. Now I listen to the whole thing~
