^I agree. Although it's kind of pointless, avex would just not put 2 of their big artists together. THSK is still (kind of) new to the industry.

I wonder if THSK fans will go crazy again with this single and buy 100k+ copies in the 1st week again...

When I noticed Ayu was releasing her single the same day as BoA I though: "This is weird cuz avex doesn't put two of their popular singers the same day..."
However, she's not gonna reach #1 because YUI will beat her lol

Eh, there's probably not enough value attached to the single to warrant buying that many again.

Look at the 1st and 2nd week difference of their last single.. my god XD

YUI is probably going outsell BoA because of how she's been doing this year in general...I don't know if I still want to root for BoA because LOVE LETTER is a pretty mediocre single, lol.

YUI will probably sell around 70-80k; BoA around 30-40k.

Maybe fans saw how close it was last time, they'll try extra hard for them to get #1? I can imagine their Korean fans flying over to Japan for a weekend or something just to buy like 10 copies each so that it will count on Oricon.

Yeah, she probably will..."Can't Buy My Love" is one of the most successful albums this year so far, and "Made in Twenty (20)" has pretty meager sales.

not to mention the competition with Johnny's Jr. group Hey!Say!7 that week. (they also had a handshake event, which boosted their sales as well.) when you put competing fangirls on the same week, it's going to be crazy. :D JE hasn't announced a single release on the 09.19.07 date yet, so it looks good for Ayu (they pitched KinKi Kids with Koda Kumi, again, for the previous week.)

i also think YUI will beat BoA 1st week. YUI's pretty hot right now. i like "LOVE & TRUTH" better than "LOVE LETTER" anyway. :P

I have a doubt..I was comparing the album Secret of Ayu with Yui's album.
But they say this:
Total Sales Reported (by avex trax): 804,000 (Japan)
Total Sales Reported (by Oricon): 666,363 (Japan)
Why such a difference?
