I need some good Brazilian pop music...

Name a few artists that you like...I'm also open to Axé, Reggae and Rap.

Also, does anyone know a good site to download some good Spanish music? Kind of Like AHS but for Spanish artists?

The only Brazilian pop singer I know is Kelly Key... she was quite popular in my country around 2002 with her song "Baba".

I also know Alexandre Pires, but his style is mainly ballads... he's not what I understand as Pop music.

Kelly Key is stupid, she died for us. Do you know Ivete Sangalo? She's amazing a lot!

Ivete Sangalo - The biggest brazilian star EVER. Her last show rocks a lot. You can see a sneak peak here:

I've heard of Alexandre Pires, Babado Novo (Got 2 of her albums!) and Ivete Sangalo. I haven't heard of some of those artists you named maumau so I'll check those out.

ewww Kelly Key LOL She has some moron lyrics. And DON'T EVER listen to Alexandre Pires. The guy is a murderer! He hit and run while he was drunk, but then was misteriously considered innocent. He even made himself into a victim, helped by the media. He should rot in hell!

Well, my favorite bands are Cidade Negra and Kid Abelha.

Cidade Negra has mainly pop reggae songs; I really love their songs such as "Além da Onda" (Beyond The Wave) or "A Flecha e o vulcão" (The Arrow and the Volcano). Makes me feel like I'm enjoying a great time on a sunny beach.
Kid Abelha is a popular pop-rock band. They also love to use sax in certain songs. I'm going to upload a few of their songs later and you can decide for yourself.
As for Axé, I realy recommend Ivete Sangalo.

Ana Carolina is really good too. Did you listen Sandy & Junior? It's a double group.

Sweet_Ai 18th September 2007 01:09 AM

Yup, I've heard of them because they sing in Spanish also. I've heard of Cidade Negra but never really listened to any of their music! I'll go try that out!

ImpactBreaker 18th September 2007 03:03 AM

I'm uploading some Kid Abelha (including two spanish versions of their songs) + Cidade Negra songs to you! Hopefully the upload will finish, because my connection has been acting so damn slow XD
I also like Skank. Their older songs used to be reggaish, but lately they've been releasing pop-rock songs.
And well, I hate Sandy and Junior, but I like the japanese singer KOKIA. Ok, so what does KOKIA and Sandy have in common? well, it's just because I think Sandy's voice sounds a whole lot like KOKIA's (and vice-versa LOL). I remember I was playing KOKIA songs and my brother and friends were asking me if I was listening tio Sandy LMAO! Their voices are really good imo.

Ever tried "Forró" by the way? It's a very popular genre in my home city, Fortaleza. A lot of Forró bands steal american songs compositions, change their lyrics, and change the arragements to sound like forró. I almost laugh today when I listyened to a forró version of "Without you". The part where they say in "I can't live....if living is without you", the guy says "Paulinha..." in such a high pitched ear piercing sounding. It's so hilarious!

here they are: http://www.sendspace.com/file/1veagj

Sweet_Ai 20th September 2007 01:12 AM

Wow thanks a lot for that! :D And I haven't heard of that forró genre but I will listen to that too! Thanks again!

kinomaniac 20th September 2007 04:53 AM

ew, kelly key is just ew!

will you people kill me if i suggest sandy & júnior? i know they are too poppy and stuff, but some of their songs are actually pretty good.

Sweet_Ai 20th September 2007 04:55 AM

Yeah I've heard of them. They sing in Spanish. Anyone who sings in Spanish I'v already heard of.

kinomaniac 20th September 2007 05:10 AM

they released an english album, but i don't think it was a success, just like hikki's exodus.

'love never fails'

Sweet_Ai 20th September 2007 05:24 AM

Really? I never knew that. I've heard some of their songs in English but I never knew they released an album.
