Possible Asia Tour 2007 in Blue-ray format???
I just bought Ai Otsuka's 4th anniversary concert in the Blue-ray format days ago. was pretty surprised to see the same concert released in 3 different formats (DVD, HD-DVD, Blue-ray).
Everybody knows, Ayu and AiOtsuka are both under Avex. So, is it possible that we will see Ayu's Asia Tour 2007 (and other coming tours) in high definition formats??? It'll be god send if it comes true :love:love:love Higher quality images, sound, bonus features??? :yes Please discuss. :P this is my first time to create new thread here :rolleyes |
Hmm, if they did it for Ai I can see them doing it for Ayu, too. Sounds totally plausible. I just wonder why they didn't do it sooner! D:
|
I think it's probable that they won't.
I can't imagine AT07 in a 2-3 Blu-ray disc set.. it'd cost a ton. O___O I really don't want it to be in Blu-ray, since I'll probably get a PS3 later next year... so maybe AT08? D: |
I think Avex should release Blue-ray for ayu. even avex released Ai otsuka's dvd in blue-ray . . why not ayu ? ?
offtopic truehappiness you are a lucky guy . . as for me . . I can't even afford to order Ayu's CD form yesasia :( but glad to hear that many people buy Ayu's CDs and DVDs |
Well, all I buy throughout the year is Ayu stuff usually, so... there's not much money to spend really. D:
|
It was announced a while back that Avex were gonna start doing HDDVD's and BluRay's - I just hope they make them region free [apparently it costs quite a bit to make Blu Ray's region coded]

hmm 2-3 discs? i dont think you need more than one dual layers disc ( it takes up to 50 gb), 2 discs tops. and the prices are actually about the same if you see the previos releases in blu-ray, but then it is expensive tho i hope the tour comes out in blu-ray, cuz i dont think i would buy it otherwise :( |
I hope for region free, too. For dvd that's ok, same zone than europe, but for bluray/hddvd..
ayujarl your bluray of Ai is zoned ? |

As for me, I prefer it in BluDisc, becos it is the one of the latest, competing format (and I will definitely support BluDisc from SONY rather than HD-DVD tho I have both). Plus, It has more crisps picture and better sound quality. OMG, I am soooooo ready for next-gen. |
Actually Blu-Ray boxsets are not as expensive as they sound... On amazon, I saw the Harry Potter DVD boxset (5 films) for about USD119, when the Blu-Ray one is at USD149, for USD30 more, you get a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in quality.
Obviously concert Blu-Rays won't cost that much, what I'm trying to say is, it's kinda worth it to pay more for HD.. We need: ayumi hamasaki - COMPLETE TOUR BOX HD! |
I think they will release it in Blu-Ray, HD DVD and in a box of DVDs.
|
Me too, I prefer a blu-ray version but did you see the price of the last Ai's dvd ??
2848yen for the dvd and 5800yen for the blu-ray if it's the same price for ayu's dvd, no thanks, i will buy only the dvd version... |
it would be very good. But i can't afford to buy this, so i will download this concert... in HD its size will be very big..
|
I think it will be in blu-ray since now everything is turning slowly into HD. It'll be cool! and also Japan and North America are on the same region (that's what I heard!)
|
^ It is, japan and america are region a
|
I hope it will happen, and maybe the long preparations was for possibly the production to high-definition formats, I think...
|
i hope they do!!! i relli want to watch it on my big TV!!
and im also getting a PS3 in a month! |

That would be great, 'cos I have PS3. Otherwise it could be weird because new formats aren't that popular yet. At least here in Finland but that's not a miracle. :D |
this is interesting.
I was thinking the same thing around a month ago, so, I did a photo on My Story Tour Blu-ray and HD-DVD, just wanna see how it gonna be when this became true. btw ayujarl, is Ai's concert 5.1 LPCM? or just Dolby TruHD? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...6886/front.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...86/hdfront.jpg |
