ショッキングな告白に驚いた。ずっと前からあゆファンを広言している真央。アイスショーのツアーで北海道 に滞在していた５日、浜崎の左耳の悪化を報じる新聞を目にした。悲しいニュースだった。真央は「頑張って歌 い続けてほしい」と周囲に語っていたという。普段から浜崎の曲をＢＧＭに滑っている。練習拠点を米国に移し た当初、環境に慣れなかった時期も浜崎の歌を聴いて勇気づけられた。思い入れは強いよう。
練習では得意のトリプルアクセル（３回転半ジャンプ）や３回転－３回転の連続ジャンプを立て続けに決める など、好調をアピールした。次戦の四大陸選手権（２月、韓国）は、世界選手権（３月、スウェーデン）の前哨 戦として地元のキム・ヨナと激突するが「優勝を目標にして、確実に技を決めていきたい」と力を込める。世界 で戦う真央が応援していると知れば、自身の公式サイトで「私は歌う」と語る浜崎にとっても力に なるだろう。
