HELP! My i-pod loathe's me :'(

EDIT: This was supposed to be in the General Section. Whoops!

My i-pod is messed up. 5th Gen Video 30 Giggle byte's blah di blah.

When I play any song it give's different artwork from another stored song.

Example: I play Ayu's 'ladies Night' and the picture that show's is Ashley Tisdale's album cover.

This is happening to every song I have stored. I've reset with the'centre button + menu' routine but to no avail.

Any help or advice? It's bugging me :S

this is a problem i've never heard of before
check the songs in itunes to see what the covers are, or update the artwork. erase all artwork currently, and start anew.

Yes i think that could work. Maybe the songs are wrong right from your iTunes

I had this happen to me as well--not sure what the right answer is, but make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes. I've downloaded newer versions of iTunes since I had it happen to me--the problem has seemed to go away on its own.

Hmmm. Restore your iPod and then resync it?

^ Yup, I've heard of that method.

I can't actually sync. My i-tune's has 40 something GB stored and my ipod is only 30.

The artwork is all correct. When I plug my ipod into the computer and 'get info' on one of the stored songs it show's the correct artwork.

I'm gonna update my itune's and see if that works. Thanks guys :)

You can sync, When you plug the iPod in make sure "Only sync checked songs" and untick songs/albums you dont want on there.

Ahhhhhh Okie's. I'll wait until I go to bed and leave it running :laugh

New version of itune's didn't solve the problem :no

Again, thanks guys.

why don't you try calling up the apple help line? i know there's one in Australia, and they helped my friend who has no idea about ipods.

ah, the joys of the older but (somewhat) reliable ipods. i have a love/hate relationship with my 30G ipod photo - its old and yucky, but he behaves :D

KuroixShiroi_Namida 23rd January 2008 04:41 AM

Lol. Adding covers to the songs is such a tedious job -_____-!

I just have 600 album covers to go since itunes couldn't find album artwork for these asian singers XD!

Sometimes, when I've added more than one artwork for a song, where it shows the art for the selected item, there'll be a little arrow. Right click on the song, and select get info, and under 'Artwork,' delete the one you aren't going to use. It's simple, I know, but I didn't figure it out until a month after I bought my iPod.
