Oh, I read this over at mixi. Haha, I still don't quite understand the article, but I think they're talking about how Ayu isn't the same anymore, how her talent is no longer "natural", though some people still claims her talent is natural...

I think it's a review on the DVD, and they don't like it.

Oh come on all pop stars are fake and unnatural to some extent. Ayu admitted she was just Avex's product many years ago. Get over it.

Fake how? She acts like herself.. I mean, if she's told to be nice, fun and bubbly on stage, that isn't "fake". She's being herself, but her happy self. If she's asked to do her cute anime voice, that is her cute anime voice. IMO, she could be called fake/unnatural if she was lip synching to a voice that isn't hers, or starts slapping people around pretending that it's real. Like in GAME, she acts all dominant. Now acting isn't fake. It's acting. It would be fake if she acted dominant backstage and pretended that it's real. xP

I find it so annoying when someone says that she's fake. Ayu = ayu. She would only be fake if in real life she's a very mean and agressive person, while she pretends to be nice when the camera's on. Which probably isn't the case. :P Also, talent doesn't "become" unnatural. You have talent or you don't. It doesn't disappear or become fake. If they mean that her voice becomes too old and she hasn't to lyp synch (which isn't the case, IMO) it's still her natural voice and talent. Even if she was a man or was freaking ugly and had plastic surgery it's still not fake in my book, because that's how she is now and she is who she is. It would be fake if her nose wasn't really on but could be taken off or whatever. Heck, even Michael Jackson isn't really fake. He is who he is, and made that choice to look like that.

Sure, she's avex's product. Avex wants her to cry during ballads so that they sell. So she acts crying. Is that fake? No.. It's acted. If she says that it's real, she would be lying but IMO it would still not be fake.. Just acted. It's kind of different to say "her crying is fake" and "her crying is acted". The word fake would imply for me that she doesn't feel the song, which she does.. She wrote those lyrics -- the songs are her. If she acts her crying, that doesn't mean that she doesn't feel the emotion. She feels the music. ^-^ And her music isn't fake.

Edit: Lol, my rant became longer than I had thought. I cleaned it up a bit.

actually i really want to know: is ayu is still popular in japan?

^She has enough popularity to still be on the top three,
and if you read any teen magazines, you could tell that
she still has a lot of admires/fans/followers/etc.

However, you could tell that Japan is slightly getting
a bit "sick" with her. There's a lot more Ayu bashings,
people are cheering onto new artists, etc.etc.
My friends in Japan told me that when the "OMG AYU LOST HER HEARING" news were going around her school, and when Ayu declared "I'll continue singing!!"-some of them
couldn't help but to groan. xD

Well, regardless of how others see Ayu, I will continue to support her and be a fan!

I think you guys are misunderstanding the DVD review.

From what I could see, it seemed like they were praising the live. O_o

why not just wait for a translation or someone who can properly understand it. all this guessing seems a bit of a waste of time.
