Melon Panda 13th April 2008 05:39 AM

One more day until the week ends, right? If so, she's sure to pass 100K (and retain her #1 weekly streak).

Deneb 13th April 2008 05:40 AM

breaking 100k ^^ soon....

ayu-fan 13th April 2008 07:11 AM

TITANIC 13th April 2008 07:12 AM

hope it will break 200K

cloud♥honey 13th April 2008 07:17 AM

I think it'll sell 160k or more, in the total sales (not of this week). Don't mind to the competitors, they're weird, lol.

marekcarey 13th April 2008 07:37 AM

che0173 13th April 2008 07:40 AM

iunno whether this is right or whether its just another one of wiki's mistakes but... =S

That was like between 1999 - 2002 rite? The Golden era for both ayu and hikki. And during that time cd sales did not decline that much. It was quite easy for top artists to sell at least 600K back then..

Deneb 13th April 2008 07:47 AM

woo today's sell soon? can't wait xD

and er. 1million sells was when people havent figured out how to illegal download :innocent and her peak era. when she was beyond godlike xD now she's just goddess xD ( not saying she's loosing popularity, just that she was well aboved popular back then

cloud♥honey 13th April 2008 07:54 AM

Those are awesome sales, for sure. That's the proof that japaneses liked the single at all.

AyumiBest 13th April 2008 07:57 AM

Yay ayu! What are the sales for the other group. o.o

Melon Panda 13th April 2008 07:57 AM

Back in her peak era even I purchased her music, which I practically never do anymore. Downloading is much more convenient now, so consumers are less inclined to actually buy the single.

No, B'z would still win in this case Soba ni Iru ne's weekly sales never exceed 100K. It's just she sold around 40- 50K per week for the first six weeks.. On the other hand, B'z first week sales were always above 150K. B'z would be no. 1 anywayz (and even ayu if she battled w/ Aoyama, cuz ayu's first week sales were always above 60K at least).

I dunno but I heard that Japanese are educated not to use unauthorized/illegal stuff (like... well educated on this issue), so the majority dun download illegal mp3s that much. And I kinda think this could be true. Just look at their ringtone downloads/mp3 downloads. It's easy to just upload a self-made ringtones to the cell rite? But they always purchase them instead of making them. That is why Flavor Of Life could have more than 7 million (legal) downloads in just one country.
