[2008] So, now that ayu-mi-x 6 is out...
 

While listening to Ayu's newest remix albums, I thought I'd make this thread! Now that the new ayu-mi-x 6 albums are out and almost everyone's gotten the taste of them, let's compare them with (all of) her previous remix albums and ask some questions:

Are M "Above & Beyond remix" and Naturally "Wippenberg remix" still the top two favorites?

Is HEAVEN × DAISHI DANCE the best remix of this overrated, beautiful ballad, or does the "House Mix" from the Bold & Delicious/Pride single still hold that title?

Is Ladies Night × AFRA & INCREDIBLE BEATBOX BAND the new Ladies Night ～another night～ remix?

So, basically, I guess what I'm trying to ask is, "How good is ayu-mi-x 6?" My intention here wasn't to make a discussion about the album(s) themselves, but to compare them with her previous albums (either other ayu-mi-x's or any other remix albums).

Heaven's House Mix = better.

Ladies Night × AFRA & INCREDIBLE BEATBOX BAND is waaaaaay better than ~another night~. Overall, I just never liked ~another night~ to begin with.

There were some good remixes on these albums, but her past ayu-mi-xes were better. Especially ayu-mi-x 4.

well...Gold has a couple of really excellent songs like ladies night, talkin' 2 myself and ourselves, but there are also a couple of really bad songs like Greatful days and happy ending...Silver is a very solid album overall but i think there are no particular outstanding songs except Heaven

I love DAISHI DANCE way too much, so that version is better for me `-`. IMO GOLD was a tad bit disapointing...I think I was expecting way too much from it. I was surprised of how good SILVER was though, never would of thought that I would like SILVER over GOLD.

HEAVEN × DAISHI DANCE remix was amazzzinggg. its my favorite out of all her ayu mix 6.

i really didnt like the remix for happy ending though. she barely sings in it, and u cant even tell how the tune of the song goes...

I'm very pleased with ayu-mi-x 6! It made me see fated and HEAVEN in a whole new light. Before I had the remixes on ayu-mi-x, I absolutely detested both songs... And not only do I love both remixes, but now I really like the originals too!

hmmm... i think i only liked a couple of songs the rests sounded like some bad fan-made remixes. LoL.

Some of AHS remixers has better stuff

I really love the GOLD album, but none of them can compete with 'Duty "Eric Kupper Big Room Mix ' <3

I'm pretty happy with ayu-mi-x 6 overall. HEAVEN x DAISHI DANCE is my favorite. And, despite everyone else hating the Greatful days mix, I really like it, it's pretty unique.

hmm HEAVEN DAISHI DANCE is rvery good song. i think i like all song had mixed by daishi dance. XD

imo, only few were good, eg heaven, talkin2 myself and ourselves. it's overall better than other ayu-mi-x except acoustic orchestra w00t!... but compare to ayu-ro-mix and cyber trance <333 it's not as good. my story classical is just :love

I agree with that. The remixes in Silver were MUCH better quality compared to Gold. But the remixes in Gold were more danceable.... if you know what I mean: they were more upbeat.

personally, i thought GOLD was really good. i <3 Startin' and Ladies Night. House mix for HEAVEN still reigns supreme in the remix world for me. though i'd say, there are better remix albums out there.

I was really let down by GOLD :/ I'm not a fan of remixes that repeat like, one sound for 283903 minutes straight, which a LOT of GOLD's songs did - I think the only songs I liked on there were 'ourselves' and 'talkin' 2 myself.' Meanwhile, SILVER is a favorite of mine straight through - though tbqh I enjoy some fan remixes more than I enjoy her official ones (DJ Amaya~ D: )

It's probably my favorite of the series. This coming from a non-remix fan...

I was really impressed with the work done by BLACK STROBE, PARA ONE, and MAD PROFESSOR. Really artsy stuff.

No way lol, that remix is probably more overrated than the original mix.

I loved ayu-mi-x -SILVER- a lot! HEAVEN x DAISHI DANCE is awesome, yes! This remix also features Chieko Kinbara (violin) which makes this a masterpiece ;)

-GOLD- and -SILVER- were just good remix albums. I hope ayu trance will be done with the same effort!

^ayu-mi-x 6 was half and half for me. From GOLD and SILVER combined, I probably only like about 10 tracks...if that.
