Re: Kuu's BUT PV

Is there any hidden meaning in it?...I'm sure there is right?
anyone can care to explain?..

Amai Yume 11th June 2008 05:28 AM

Well I'm sure people have different interpretations of the PV as there is always new ways to look at things and some people will think that it's just a colorful PV.

Me, I kinda think about the idea of freedom. The video opens up with Kuu with her wrist tied to a chain and then she is pulled out of her chair by an unidentified person / force. So she is kind of like a marionette and then after struggling through all her attempts, she takes a very simple approach and bam! she is set free and then she runs into the elevator and the rest of the video takes off!!

Then Kumi is free to have fun and live her life the way she wants to. I don't remember where it is now but there was some news floating around that the song has a certain connotation connected with homosexuality and the two girls are eseentially free to be who they want to be.

Yep, that's one way of looking at it I think. Hope this helps!

^yea thats the part I don't get...the homo...hmm

ImpactBreaker 11th June 2008 07:40 AM

I don't think the PV has any meaning other than just being male audience eye candy. Koda is bondaged and later we see her in that cute outfit holding a cane, being all cutesy and innocent, but truthfully she just wants to play with the girls and be skanky :laugh My male friends get crazy watching that PV, specially during the kiss part :laugh

I saw the making and the theme is lesbian love. I guess J-Pop PVs usually doesn't make sense huh.

KarenPang 11th June 2008 10:05 AM

I think it's because of the kiss scene in the PV that got the SG press of Kingdom to be slapped with an NC16 rating :grumpy :o

it's quite lame if you ask me , it's just 1 PV for god sake

the odd thing was that Black Cherry was slapped with a PG rating which doesn't really make sense to me especially with regards to the JUICY PV :o

prussian blue 11th June 2008 10:08 AM

^the JUICY PV is lol and also the bottle dance~

i think the PV is so artistic and also meaningful~ thx for the explanation of amai yume

^ It's apart of a film rating system.

G - General Audiences
Basicly people all ages can watch it.

G are for stuff like Barney and Seasame Street.

Spoiler:
But then again, Barney and Seasame Street should be rated PG.

Parent: "REMEMBER! There are no such things as purple dinosaurs!"

OR

Parent: "REMEMBER! You won't see big yellow birds walking around!"
