About Ayu's "A" single

I received my "A" single recently and I was really happy to it.

But there is one thing: I was shocked that there is no sticker on the front of it and the edition I got was black but the tracklisting is still the same as the original one.

I thought that I'll get the normal gold disc like others does.

And the logo of AVEX TRAX that was used is the recent one not the normal oblong with "A" on it.

My question is this:
Does the AVEX TRAX reprints all of the old singles of their artists now?

BTW, I bought the single from CDJapan.

Well i didnt understand the question about the A very well but as for the cd being black their are cds in 6 different colors(black,blue,green,orange,gold and pink) Anyway could u explain the other questions better to see if maybe I can help you out?

^ Okay, I just want to know if Ayu's(or any AVEX artist) singles and albums reprinted the older releases now.

This is what my OBI exactly looks like:

And there is no sticker infront of the single. :(

I don't think!
The last older releases was in 2001 I think!
But it would be cool if they did that!

The black one is the unlimited edition, the colored ones were all limited. The golden one was released when the single reached 1 million sold copies (Hmm, bad memory here, maybe it was to celebrate something else) and was also limited. There's 2 differend gold versions that was released for 2 different reasons.

Bah, why was it such a long time ago I stopped collecting Ayumi items, I knew everything about it if you'd have asked 2 years ago... I even knew how many copies was issued of each :(.

I'm sure you can dig all the information up on AHS, if you're lucky with the search engine.

The gold colored-disc was released to celebrate 1 million copies, and the real gold disc with the gold cover was released to celebrate 1.5 million copies sold.

The black IS the unlimited regular version, and the other colors (red/pink, orange, green, and blue) are all limited. I don't know the counts for sure, but these were the numbers on HCE's old site (I don't know his source, so I couldn't tell you for sure if this is correct, but it's all we got):

Black variant : non-limited (the regular pressing)
Red variant : 70,000 copies
Green variant : 70,000 copies
Orange variant : 70,000 copies
Blue variant : 70,000 copies
Gold variant 1 : 100,000 copies
Gold variant 2 : 150,000 copies

I also don't know which gold version is which, I didn't keep that info. but I assume the 1 million celebration version is "variant 1" and the 1.5 million celebration version is "variant 2". Which is weird cuz you'd expect the 'nicer' gold version to be more rare. But whatever. Like I said, I dunno the source of these numbers.

And they all came with stickers initially, but in later pressings of old CDs, the information on the stickers (the tie-ins) is no longer relevant so the stickers are usually phased out over time.

@gothicayu
EXACTLY! I was surprised that the front of the single doesn't come a sticker with the info's where the music was used.

@Lee_410
Maybe... I was lucky to have that version of the single.
Spoiler:
Black is one of my favorite colors BTW. ^^,

@Delirium-Zer0
Thanks for the info's!
It helps me a-lot through knowing the single's stats and the colored disc edition.

THANKS GUYS! [:3
