the more popular you become the more haters you get too.
it's not because you are nr. 1 all the time, the whole country loves you.
it could of course be because ayu gets exposure all the time for ten years now. could be tiring.

Lets look at it this way: on a list of popularity, Ayu would be WAYYY higher up in ranking.

Which shows that Ayu's proportion and fans and haters isn't balanced. There are more people that like her or are neutral than there are people who hate her. :D

Shouldn't be shocked at seeing her on lists like these. As popularity goes up, so does the amount of haters. And it really is nice to see that shes actually ranked quite low on a list like this.

Which silly people came up with such a silly list. But at least we know she's also the most popular japanese female solo singer since the last decade so whatever :D

Although most say they once liked her and that they still enjoy a few of her older songs, the majority of Japanese people I meet say the same things over and over about Ayu:

1. Ayu is over. She's lost her touch, her spark. She's worn out and embarassing now.
2. Ayu is fake. She had her eyes done and sets a bad example for self image.
3. Ayu is such a diva. She's *****y and an over-the-top control freak.

She's reached that level of fame where the country is split on her. Half hate her, half love her, and the middle ground is slim. It just comes with the territory, and it doesn't reflect her as an artist or a person.

And, there are only famous people on that list. So of course everyone is going to show up.

I don't think Kuu being ****ty is the main reason why she ranked so high. Kuu has a personality that well..you either love or find extremely annoying. The skankiness + scandal doesn't really help her either.

lol@misono being on the list. I have a feeling people voted for her just cause she is Kuu's sister :laugh

They could also hate her for baring her body so many times when there's nothing to really see.. (weight loss thing, her new album, etc..)

I personally think this list is just a bunch of bull made by some wota-blog. Sure, Ayu is hated by people in Japan generally, but I think with popularity comes a lot of haters. Especially if you've been out for a long time. I sorta wonder what people say about Yumi Matsutoya or Seiko Matsuda.
