OS A BEST 2 BLACK without booklet?
 

My brother in Hong Kong has just sent me a late birthday gift of A BEST 2 BLACK & WHITE CD+2DVD versions. Both were sealed and still in the bag the shop gave him. When I opened WHITE everything was normal, it included the regular Japanese lyric + Ayu pics booklet:

I opened BLACK later, and this is what was inside:

No regular booklet, just the translations and the other side didn't have it either:

It's got the AVTCD code on it:

And the shop was listed as selling the real versions, not bootleg. If it is an Avex CD, does the OS BLACK normally come without a booklet or was I just unlucky and got one without it?

Oh dear, A BEST 2 -BLACK- should have a booklet. I think there was a problem during the packaging. ;_; It sucks that you get something with some stuff left out from the package. Looks like you're just unlucky =\

Thanks for replying :) I thought it was probably unlucky to get one without, I just wanted to make sure. It's a shame really, as I'd been waiting over a year to get them, and I can't afford the JP version.

Aww man. I think there're mistakes with packaging. :(

I don't know if I can, as these were bought a couple of weeks ago, and the seals have been taken off the packaging, shops are usually strict about not changing/refunding items like CDs without the seals, especially as I would have to send them back to my brother through the post and that would take a week to get to Hong Kong. The shop might not accept it if it's been sent through post, or if it gets damaged on the way back. I think I might be stuck with it :(

but always look at it the positive way! At least you got some very nice stuff:

- 2 CD's packed with most of Ayu's best songs.
- 2 DVD's with a load of awesome PV's.
- 2 DVD's with an entire CDL Concert + Documentary.
- Beautiful packaging and covers to display proudly in your room :D

I know it still sucks but try to stay positive about it ;) And you got White booklet!

Well, for now I can only play the CDs, as we're region 2 DVD here, and I don't have a region free player yet. I have a DVD ripper in the computer, but I don't know if it will rip them or not, might try that. I am glad WHITE had the booklet though, as I prefer that one, it was a bit of a disappointment not to get the other one.

Oh that is so sad...but as Keiichi_JPU-san said be positive.. It's better than a misssing disc!!

thats why i never buy os version . i buy only japanes version because they have better casing booklet and better colors . have you ever try to buy those japanese version used ? they cost as much or less than a os version.

About DVD region codes: Download the VLC media player it can play any region DVD on your computer or check out videohelp.com and you may be able to enter a code into your DVD player to make it region free. :)

This is the first problem I've had with an OS version, but I may not buy one after this. Unfortunately, I can't buy any used, because I'm not working, and don't have much money to buy from places like ebay for a used one, or a credit card or paypal to buy instantly. Any threads here at AHS where people sell things, I never have any money at the time so I can't buy anything. It's usually either I have the money to buy new from CDJapan or go without.

Evolution7/4, thanks, I have VLC player, but I do like to take caps for graphics and animated gifs. I tried doing that on it last night, but it's not as good as the DVD player for being able to caps from specific frames because it can't be moved forward a little or back. I found it very limited and awkward to use.

I don't have a bank account, as I don't get money regularly, and with no money going into an account, the bank closes it after a few months. Ebay doesn't really interest me much with Ayu stuff anyway, as mostly it's bootleg CDs there. I wouldn't really get much out of it. Thanks for the info, though :)
