wow, her make-up is so gorge and classy! she seems like a totally typical and normal artiste!

I like some of her songs but don't listen to her that often. Though that's happened before and then I suddenly get an urge to keep listening. It hasn't happed with her - yet. But she's alright.

My God the woman is AMAZING!

I've seen her twice now (both times in London), once in April ('08) and then again in October ('08) and I have to say both times left me in awe, you've never seen anything quite like it.


And you say 'Singer/Songwriter'
I believe you've forgotten some things she does....
such as:
Musician (she plays the Violin, Viola, Viola de Gamba - not that I know what that is -, Guitar, Piano & Harpsichord)
Poet
Writer

Plus she designs her own clothing as well.

well, tbh all of her songs sound very similar, so once you've heard, for instance, "Hollow Like My Soul" something like "Dead Is The New Alive" or "The Art Of Suicide" doesn't have as much of an impact. at least she uses that totally unique harpsichord very minimally, so there is a lot of variation in the instruments!

Okay. . .I just watched about 40 seconds of this performance, and if I was to be COMPLETELY honest, I would have to say: that was horrendous. :no

That, is what all the fuss was about? Wow, that wasn't good at all. It looks like she's trying to be her own version of ALI PROJECT, but failing because she can't actually sing.

wow, she looks like Lacey from Rock of Love mixed with some Harajuku girl in that perf. so unique!

You know, I think if Emilie sang normal music, her voice might actually sound decent! :)

Her best pictures in general are her live ones.... because thats Emilie in her element




Not only is she gorgeous physically, but everything she produces is equally as gorgeous.




And now I feel I should actually stand up for her..... because clearly a lot of you happen to like putting her down.
First things first..... if she sang 'normal' music?

Why, pray tell, should she sing music, that she clearly doesn't WANT to create just to please other people?

are you trying to tell me that what you are hearing there is NOT a good voice?

The woman's range is outstanding, and she uses it a lot better than most of the wailing screeching diva's we have in the mainstream world today, I'm talking your typical Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera

Secondly.... someone mentioned something about being a 'jack-of-all-trades' and then her being a 'master of none'

Both instrumentals and both entirely composed and recorded by her..... no one else did anything on those tracks... everything you can hear there (and on everything else she releases) is done entirely by her.


And honestly.... you've heard, like, what? One live performance from her?

Although... none of you will ever have the full effect of her voice because... let's face it... none of you have seen her live

I'm not even going to into the ALI PROJECT comparison..... since they are barely similar (plus Emilie is several thousand times more talented... and this is coming from a fan of ALI PROJECT)

Wow. That performance wasn't good. :no It sounds like she's trying to yell parts the shouldn't be yelled.

Of coruse this is only one proformence so I'd have to see others before I am able to say she can't sing.

So I looked up some of her songs on youtube. They're interesting. Some are actually pretty good but her voice can be a little irritating at times. She's great to listen to when I feel corrupted in the mind though =D

Not sure if I'd be keen on her heavier music but I d/led Rapunzel and really liked it. Though I think I might have to adjsut to her voice.
