Amuro Namie Song Recommendations
 

I only have a handful of songs by her, and I would rather have someone recommend some good songs by her than just taking a chance to find another good song myself. What are her most popular songs and/or what are your favorites? Thank you ^^

Best Fiction is the best thing for you. and her biggest hit is Can You Celebrate.

i just started listening to her, and i'm not finished with her discography yet.

i discovered I really enjoy her voice though. It's quite pleasant...

but anyway, so far, my favorites are Do Me More, Sexy Girl, WANT ME WANT ME, and WHAT A FEELING...all from Best Fiction.

In a poll though...I think people said PLAY was her best album? Maybe songs from there would be good too.

I seem to only like those types of her songs...

It depends what kind of music you prefer. If you like older sounding stuff then Concentration 20 and 181920 for sure. Those two are the best albums in her entire discography imo and every song is good :yes As for more recent stuff your best bet would just be to get BEST FICTON and LOVE ENHANCED, her other two best albums.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It really depends on what you like from her. She's basically had three distinct eras and those have all been separated by her compilations. 181920 is her older, sort of Pop R&B and Europop, Love Enhanced is more Pop R&B which is I guess a bit more J-Pop, and BEST FICTION is almost entirely Hip-Hop (or Hip-Pop).

What era is STYLE?

Just listened to PLAY. Totally not my style, I don't think it. Violet Sauce is alright though. The rest...are a no from me.

Listening to STYLE now, and I think I might like it more than PLAY.

Namie's style is really interesting. I think...out of all the Japanese artists I've listened to....her music really reminds me of American music the most...I don't know why everyone says kuu was the first one to do it...her's is nothing compared to the depth at which Namie's later music seems influenced.

STYLE's from the BEST FICTION era. It was her first really Hip-Hop album, and I'd say it's more Hip-Hop and less accessible than PLAY, so I'm not sure how you'll like it in comparison. But I completely agree about the American thing. Even Kuu's most R&B w/e song isn't nearly as American style Hip-Hop as some of Namie's music.

I'm actually liking STYLE a lot more :laugh which is interesting to me.

After I got into Jpop, I totally like did away with American music...which I'm really regretting now, because I really do like all music styles. And namie's music is like...different for me, but I like it, and I like her, so, she's cool.

especially PLAY as it's a really good album & also 60s70s80s & the 2 new songs on BEST FICTION as well which're Do Me More & Sexy Girl

U like [STYLE]? Suprisingly u dont like [PLAY] too, I think [PLAY] is an UPDATE version of [STYLE] which was just randomly song-arranged album
I hope u'll give [Play] a try again, casue Top Secret Hide n Seek Full Moon or Violet Sauce are all the greatest songs of her.
One thing 4ya, dont ever try CAN U CELEBRATE! I hate that song...haha
If u wanna try it, just youtubein' it n watch the live version, cause the original/old-fashion audio version is just ...awww
Last thing, if u wanna hear Namie for some ballads or some AYU's feeling songs, I serriously think U should try another one!:yes
Overall [BEST FICTION] is the BEST of all, IMO

Well,I'd recommend everything from BEST FICTION,PLAY,Queen of Hip-Pop and STYLE.

Oh,and btw. exist for you is an awesome ballad,and you should try out I HAVE NEVER SEEN too (it's the only older song from her that I like lol).

Yep OMG I forgot I Have Never Seen, u should try it, I prefer the new version of it in [LOVE ENHANCED] album to the old one(w/z her old vocal)

Come and Four Season r 2 good songs being used in anime Inuyasha
Dreaming I Was Dreaming is her only old song singin' w/z her current voice, very deep n sad song-->I love it
