Well, "Ayumi" is a common Japanese girl name. But this is kind of cool coincidence considering Ayu's single is titled "GREEN/Days" :laugh. GReeeeN is a great band by the way. :)

well, that's pretty strange that it's on CDJapan but not on GReeeeN's official site... They JUST released a new single on Dec 3rd entitled 「扉」 (tobira). however, i searched around in japanese and the new single is indeed titled 「歩み」 (ayumi - walking; progress). release date is supposedly 2009.01.28! YAY! GReeeeN is such a great band. it seems almost all of their singles so far have been one-word titles somewhat leaning towards similar things. their previous singles for example...

道 - michi - path; route; way

HIGH G.K LOW ~ハジケロ~ - HAJIKERO - i'm assuming it's from the verb 弾ける "hajikeru" (to burst open)

愛唄 - ai uta - love song

人 - hito - person/people

BE FREE

旅立ち - tabidachi - setting off on a trip

キセキ - kiseki - miracle

扉 - tobira - door; gate; opening

歩み- ayumi - walking; progress

maybe they are trying to do a play on words since ayu just released 「Days/GREEN」. haha jk

& exactly I was shocked when CDJapan emailed me to say that they're releasing a new single next month just 2 weeks ago + after they released Tobira which I feel it's a great single & the 1st single I purchased of them too :D

it kinda sucks that they will be going up against KinKi Kids's Yakusoku . When they released Tobira , they were denied the top spot because of KAT-TUN's White X'mas & now again :weep

when Ashiato was released , NEWS's Happy Birthday was put out on 1st Oct :dead2

I can't wait to hear what it sounds like...It would be kinda cool if Ayu was on the cover of it. O.o Since they've never shown their faces before, it would be kinda neat.

Even an Ayu look-a-like would be good.

Of course, Ayumi is the name of the song, so they'll probably have some people standing on a staircase or something cliche like that.
