Shion Tsuji began to write poems and song lyrics from a young age. It wasn't until when she was 15 years old, when playing a guitar, she began to learn to write music. At the same time, she dropped out of high school in her first year and moved to Tokyo to pursue her dream to become a singer. In Autumn 2007, Tsuji self-produced the music for a commemorative event for 200 people. With her performance, Tsuji was finally able to draw the attention of Sony Music. By the way, I'm not calling her "the next YUI", that's just what she's being hailed as. If you click the link to the PV, you can see why. She also will be singing the next Bleach ED song, airing in January 2009. The song is called "Sky chord".

I youtubed the candy kicks PV and seriously, I said out loud "Sure this isn't YUI?" they sound so alike ._....

I put the download in the Asian Media Download section for anyone who's interested.

And I agree, she can't touch YUI in her early days. But lately, YUI's music has been lacking passion and soul. I guess it's a good thing that she went on her break, and in the mean time, this girl will definitely hold me over. :heart

It really is, and she's got quite a unique voice for a conventional JPop singer. My favorite just might be "Take me home", actually.

And I haven't been able to find any details on sales. I'm not thinking they were too good, although she will be performing "Candy Kicks" on January 8th on MUSIC JAPAN, and on January 6th, the new Bleach episode will be airing, hopefully with "Sky chord", so we can hear it.

YAY! Official thread for Tsuji! I just ADORE her debut single. Her music is great! I loved every single track. I didn't like Yui very much, just a couple of songs really, but this girl is good.

I know! I love her so much, and I'm glad to see people taking an interest in her. I figured putting YUI in the title would grab some people's attention. XD

I absolutely loves that note she hits at the end of that "baby lose my way" or whatever section <3 It's so pure and pretty
