oh my gosh... i am like new here and i wanted to ask something...
you guys kept posting the word '1 LOVE' and i realized, my album spelled it as '1love' was that a bootleg? |
Yes, it was. :/
|
uh, do you mean the back of the case has it as 1love? if so, yeah, it's a bootleg.
|
if you mean it was "1love" when you ripped it from the cd, no.
|
There is no album called 1love. LAWL...not by ayu anyway....
|
man... i got cheated as well, i bought it like, double the original price... well, i can't rip the songs out of the album right? copy rights reserved
|
you can rip them to your computer, i always buy the japan version and rip them out.
|
^ yes I don't think there was a copy right protection on Secret...
But if you use itunes then it doesn't matter because it rips anything :) |
Do you have pictures of th album you bought? I would love to see what they come up with 8D

I guess most stores wouldn't give cash back if they just sold a bootleg :laugh congrats! To help you in your quest of finding real, original albums, keep this in mind: - the side of the case always has the AVEX logo on it, and some sort of serial code starting with the letter A for the Japanese version (I'm not at home right now so I can't check for the entire code). - the printing quality is always very high. - the tracklist has no spelling errors (a few exceptions apply, like Mirrorcle World, Greatful Days) Also, it might be a good idea to check Ayumi's official website to see how the songs are oficially spelt :) so you won't be fooled by "1love" again. goodluck! [Also, my own RAINBOW bootleg (:weep) actually has a logo of the bootlegging company on it, except for the Avex logo. beware of such obvious signs! I bought it online :*(] |
Keiichi JPU, thanks for the tips, it might help me a lot...
yeah, it's lucky that they could give my money back... well, this taught you a lesson right? don't go ebay |
if you need some tricks and tips in recognizing bootlegs, there's a really good guide here:
http://eneabba.net/ayu/music/bootlegs/index.htm it lists all sorts of bootlegs, and it just gives you an idea of what to look for so you wont have to worry about that sort of thing again. :) Quote:
it wont rip one of my favourite cds no matter what i do! ;____; |
^^ Can you rip it in Windows Media Player and then link the files to iTunes?
My folder's gotten really messy so this week I've been deleting and restoring all my music files to the correct artists and getting proper cover images - it's very time consuming but worth it at the end (I hope!) |
well, i tried that... i can't seem to do a thing about it... it came out like a player especially for ayu's albums

itll only rip through the cds own software. and once its on my computer, itunes says it cant be converted to the filetype itunes needs. :/ |
sora-kara, do you have a cd-rom or a dvd-rom drive? Because copy-protected CDs normally cannot be ripped with old cd-rom drives and even with newer dvd-rom drives it usually takes a lot longer (at least that's my experience). :)
