Where to buy Avex Taiwan CDs?
 

Does anyone know of any online stores that sell Avex Taiwan CDs and also ship internationally? I was thinking of getting the TW press of NEXT LEVEL in addition to some other albums (alan, Voice of EARTH; BoA, BEST&USA, etc.)

I know there a few sellers on eBay but they mark up their prices by 50-100% and I was hoping to pay retail - or at least a more fair price.

Edit: corrected the mark-up amount since I exaggerated a bit. Heh. :P

Yesasia sell the OS press~

Yeah, I use YesAsia a lot and I know they sell OS press(es), but it's usually Avex Asia.

I was hoping to specifically get some Avex Taiwan CDs because I've never tried them before and also because, unlike Avex Asia, they have their own standardized catalog numbering system (I'm a bit of a collector so random catalog numbers in my collection is something that bugs me - yeah, I know, I'm crazy. :P).

Taiwan has a white OBI with blue chinese words on it. You should consider that. Otherwise, its pretty close to the original version. I dont think theres any online sites that sell Taiwan...

The white obi with Chinese words doesn't really bug me; in fact, I think they would provide an interesting contrast with my other albums if I were to ever display them with the obis showing (kinda like books :D).

And, yeah, I'm definitely beginning to think that there are no online stores that sell Avex Taiwan CDs: Google doesn't turn up anything. :(

well at least the quality of taiwan press are pretty good

you can find someone on ebay, i know that karenpang have a taiwanese friend who gives her nice offers for TW press

Yeah, I've seen that seller before and never really had a problem with his prices till I checked the Avex Taiwan website and saw how much the "retail price" really is.

So that means he marked up the price almost 100%. :S

yeah on ebay, you can find a lot of Taiwan press, here i bought my COMPLETE all singles, and GREEN/Days - Days/GREEN.
"iluvhelloproject", "undercatdog2" and "artice_ray" are very good sellers =)

Ebay is the only place I can find Taiwan press.

For anyone who is living in Southern California or is visiting, I just visited Life Plaza in Arcadia, and they have an insane selection of Taiwan Press Jpop CD's. I was soooooo tempted to buy Koda Kumi's Moon CD+DVD with the golden OBI for 11.99 but my parents were there and i would get "looks of disaproval"....they had Bold and Delicious CD+DVD...vogue, evolution, Heaven, memorial address CD Only....I didnt get any of them but they were all Taiwan Press. I also saw an Ai Otsuka Album CD+DVD....i think its called Love Piece...it has a puzzle cover...anyway....its a great little store. There was also a TON more Avex trax CD's that I didnt look at...my sister bought 2 dream CDS (amazingly Dream CD's are still sold) and they also had Utada's Dareka No Negai Ga Kanau Koro and Be My Last CD+DVD. Also, the pricing is INSANE. older CD's like vogue and evolution went for 7.99. Newer singles like Heaven were 8.99. The CD+DVD sets were all 11.99. They also had the Ayumix....dunno which one...the silvery shiny one...for 13.99. For anyone who's interested they also had a Jolin Tsai Butterfly thing that came with a shirt....(my mom was like WTHeck is this)...The bad side is...other than memorial address...i didnt see any albums =[ I wouldve totally bought (miss)understood if I saw it. So yeah, anyway, if you really want Taiwan Press CD's, try Life Plaza. Plus...great deal on Boba.

avex taiwan rocks hands down . I love it that they produced OS presses of Johnny's stuff & that goes for avex artistes too & they're not stingy when comes to quality of their items unlike Warner S'pore :innocent

I bought my Taiwan press / CD + DVD of NEXT LEVEL from him & I got it yesterday :D

frankly outta the 3 ebay sellers , I prefer the 1st one lmao :lmfao . undercatdog2 & artice_ray are quite haughty & arrogant to a certain extent

at least iluvehelloproject doesn't charge jack ass prices when comes to shipping

a note regarding YesAsia - not all the OS presses that they sell are Taiwan presses . You have to be careful especially with regards to OS presses of Johnny's items & some OS presses of avex's artistes . Like for GIRL NEXT DOOR , Anna Tsuchiya & alan's , all their albums are made in Taiwan & not in Hong Kong at all

YesAsia tends to put Hong Kong press on their links for practically all OS presses that they sell & etc but in reality some of them are really Taiwan press .

I never seen a HK press of a Johnny's item at all so yeah

YesAsia's not like HMV HK in that for HMV HK's case (www.hmv.com.hk) , they will specify the catalogue & record label no.s .

Only the CD only's Taiwan press , the other 2 are HK presses

a key note's that for Taiwan press's catalogue no. , it starts with "AVJ" while for HK press , it starts with "AAJ"

it's unfortunate that you don't get to see that on YesAsia's website
