Lenka is a multi-lingual singer, raised in Australia until she was 6, her parents moved her from “the bush” to Sydney, where she spent most of her teenage years.

She has previously been involved with a band called The Decoder Ring but is now a solo act.

Her debut single, The Show, has been used in shows like Ugly Betty and her other singles from her self-titled debut album can be heard in Greys Anatomy and the new 90210. She recently performed on David Letterman and is touring the US and Canada.

I found out about Lenka one night while randomly browsing iTunes, I liked the cover of the album (because it reminded me a bit of a Lolita outfit xD) and so I bought the whole album and listened to it. I liked it so much that I went and bought the physical album the next payday!

I actually used to know her through CheezTV from when I was younger but I didn’t remember her name ;_;

I find her “Australian accent” to be a little annoying/fake at times, but I love the tracks “Trouble is a Friend” and “We will not grow Old”. I would definitely pay to see her in concert if she comes back to Australia to perform!

Her music videos are really cute, some of the songs have multiple versions but they’re all really interesting. She's just released the MV for Trouble is a Friend but I've yet to see it. For someone who’s 30, she sure doesn't look it!
