So, Émilie Simon is coming out with a new album, called The Big Machine, to be digitally released on Septemeber 14th and phsically released September 21st.

idk who this is, but i can say i do not prefer this song. but good for her. the music is good, but i do not care for her voice.

Emilie Simon is a french singer/songwriter, sometimes called "Bjork of France" by the media over there (I don't find her so "Bjork" even so). She composes and arranges everything she releases and have some great songs and some amazing videos too ^^

I sometimes call her the Bjork of France, I didn't realize the media did too xD! She isn't really like Bjork, she's just very creative and has a crazy voice like Bjork lol.

Did you care for the new song? I really like it and I have high hopes for the album, though Vegetal will be hard to beat!

I really liked! Emilie's sound is too "no-pop" for me to listening to her everytime, but I usually like everything she releases! I think she is amazing^^

thanks for this info i m surprised she is singing in english i guess she is targeting overseas sell a lot more . personally i prefer her first album than this one .
i m not crazy about her new song , i will wait for the new full album to judge .
i prefer when she sings in french it sounds more " poetic " .

I can finally obsess about this after seeing her perform this live in July, WOOOO HOOO <3 <3 <3 <3 I can't wait. She said in September is the release month in France and wasn't sure when for U.S. sooo is this still just for France release or world wide? Must buy the physical.

Wow. On first listen this song is a bit........weird to say the least. It might grow on me though. Its got a unique sound

when I first heard the song and her voice I immediately thought of Kanon Wakeshima xD

I saw her recently live. She's so amazing. I like her French stuff better than her English, but she's very good. I cannot wait for this album :)

ive been listening to the new album! i like the overall sound. shes really amazing, each of her albums have their own specific sound and mood. this one is the opposite of vegetal!

so far it sounds quite good, but i dont like her shrill and loud singing in chinatown.
