Where to buy magazines with Ayu on the cover

My birthday is coming up and I want to ask my aunt for a Japanese magazine with Ayu on the cover. I was thinking the May 2008 issue of Skawaii (is that it--or is it Sweet--I can't remember) so where can I buy individual copies of that issue? Any other places other than ebay?

Any other good magazines with Ayu on the cover I should consider?

Thanks so much! :love

Pretty much eBay and Yahoo! Auctions Japan are gonna be it for individual issues, unless you find someone in the fansites section who's willing to sell one. You can get current issues pretty easily, but finding older ones is real tough, especially if no one has them up for sale on ebay.

Would they sell magazines with Ayu in them at BOOK-OFF? Since it's a secondhand store I'm not sure how recent or old the magazines they have are, and maybe they don't have very many of the magazines that she's usually in. (But just to make sure, can someone give me a quick list of the names of the magazines she appears in so I can ask?)

Life Plaza sells Taiwanese fashion magazines. I've seen Ayu and Namie on the cover a lot of them.

You want just a magazine for your birthday present?! WTF?! Why don't you ask your aunt to buy some Ayu goodies that don't cost much. It could be very special other than just a magazine...

Thanks, I'll write that down.

@pchan: Cool! Another San Diegan! I never go to BOOK-OFF/Mitsuwa, it's too far and I can't drive. I only went once for a field trip. Dx I miss it so much. ~Nice to meet you!

Chicago, ay? Hm.... It's much easier on the west coast to find things. :/
Be on the lookout for a place called "Paper Cult" - my sister found DBSK, Namie, Perfume, and Ai Otsuka new magazines there! (and I live on the East Coast!) ^_^ They might have one at your mall.
Other than that, try the local chinatown, or Taiwanese/Chinese/Vietnamese (these are the most common) markets. (:
