What color was Ayu's hair during the (m)u era?

Like, during early 2006...when she had dark hair. Different magazines showcase her hair color differently. For example:

http://www.gwareth.org/gallery/Ayumi...60106.jpg.html

http://www.gwareth.org/gallery/Ayumi...01/13.jpg.html

and http://www.gwareth.org/gallery/Ayumi...2_002.jpg.html

So would her hair color be considered dark auburn...? Or dark brown?

Thanks!

Didn't she had black-dark brown hair which started from the Bold & Delicious/Pride period up till Startin'/Born To Be...? :yes

I would say it's chestnut brown

hsienko 12th January 2010 08:39 AM

I would say a dark brown. Then as time went on it gradually faded and became lighter.

I think it's like a chestnut/chocolate brown color. It's the color I wish she would go back to, at least for another album. :)

Awwh.. <3 Those are such beautiful photos ... <3 Yeah, all nostalgic here..she should totally dye her hair back to this for another album shoot.. ;3 Ahaha ~

I'd agree with everyone here that's a chocolate brown colour ^o^

Suteisi 12th January 2010 07:31 PM

I always said dark chocolate brown n___n

It's very beautiful on her!

Miltonic 12th January 2010 07:35 PM

I agree, she should go back to that color it looks so much better and natural on her.

non3ko 12th January 2010 07:41 PM

It looks like its in between a level 3 and level 2 brown. I disliked it at first because I was used to her lighter colors but going back, it looks so pretty on her. Her make-up then was not too heavy in those photos, not overmasking her natural beauty.

catcher_inthelight 13th January 2010 05:35 AM

actually she has 5 colors (technically) in her hair!! ^_^*
(yes its highlighted)
hmmm.... if you take away the lighting for the photoshoots and the photoshop
manipulation (yes they photoshop hair color too) lol!
I'd say in an EXACT way she has...

Level 1 Neutral Black base color
then highlights of...
Level 2 B(Brown) coffee bean brown (looks like ISO color line in that head mmhmmm...
Level 3 NB (Neutral Brown)
Level 2 RB (Red Brown) accounts for the warm tones
and MAYBE Level 3 Dark Brown (this would account for the cool tones)
and finally she had a demi-permanent violet rinse in gloss for the violet "over hue"
also she has in 11-22 inch (depending on the photo shoot and use of curls or not) blonde extensions the same color as her previously bleached hair all dyed the same color as her "current" hair color in the photos
it is also important to note that she only has semi-permanent color in her hair
this is more apparent due to sun exposure and the fact that I KNOW girlfriend is using shampoo with Ammonium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Laurel Sulfate in it as her hair lightened considerably after so many washes
and all that to achieve that seamless "what are you talking about my hair just GROWS REALLY FAST look!! LOL!
whew.... hope that helps!! *wipes sweat from brow* lawlz

why do I feel so helpful today??? >_>.......

zyoeru 13th January 2010 05:51 AM

I didn't actually like the (miss)understood era hair that much. It looked weird on her and in most of the photoshoots made her look old.

koumori 13th January 2010 12:56 PM

^ Oh pfft ~! But you have to admit those photos are pretty! :3

alternarist 13th January 2010 12:59 PM

yeah.. HEAVEN-era was still blonde.. But for Bold & Delicious/Pride, she had black hair. I felt that it looks good!!!

For Ladies Night and Startin' PV, ayu remained her black hair. but for Born To Be... PV, she went for a chestnut brown colour.

i love the hair colour n hairstyle of ayu in AT2006!! thats the best!
