Both. :P alan sings of love and war, while Ayu sings about not giving up and looking forward to the future.

Which song has better vocals?
alan - RED CLIFF ~心・戦~. I've heard this ballad live and it stills sounds epic. Its so emotional it almost brings me to tears. :cry It honestly gives me chills. Ayu's voice sounds nice in this song, but not overly moving.

Which song do you prefer overall?
alan- RED CLIFF ~心・戦~ I like the composition and background instruments, not to mention alan's wailing in the last part. Her voice is really enchanting and haunting at the same time, and goes well with the theme. I did like the composition of RED LINE ~for TA~ though, its a nice refreshing sound to hear from Ayumi. Ayu's voice in this song brings a smile to my face, while the song is uplifting. :yes

Ayu's lyrics are very inspiring and alan's are beautiful and simply amazing.

RED CLIFF has always been one of my favorite alan songs.. It probably is my favorite alan song lol. That song is so... magical and filled with emotion. Idk how to explain it lol
I kind of prefer the Chinese version over the Japanese though :P

No need more explanation. Ayu's vocal is perfect but not really as good as that it is in the pas. I really wish she'll take a little break to rest her voice.

The songs aren't even in the same category, alan's is so much better.

And her vocals in it are spectacular and unique. Hardly ever get to say that.

all 3 to alan. It's definitely one of her best, while RED LINE is one of Ayu's all-time worst.

The hardest choice was between the lyrics....but, IMO, RED LINE's lyrics aren't anything new to Ayu and i feel like i've heard them a number of times before in previous Ayu songs.

Oh come on! These two songs have nothing in common, except for the word 'red'. RED LINE is ok but RED CLIFF is on a totally different league! alan wins in all 3 aspects obviously.
