PRESENT

this is the first time i listen to this song and hey it's nice.really cheerish melody and from what i see looks likes the lyrics about Max Matsuura?? idk, or maybe everybody that helps Ayu at the beginning of career :P

and the pics look like from the booklet of A Song for xx album?

i love the one that Ayu's sitting on the toilet :D with her dogs

nanakopy87 28th January 2010 03:09 PM

yes.its from a song for xx...most worth album cd to buy :P
the pictures inside is priceless

noidea 28th January 2010 03:41 PM

Wait...you are an ayu fan for at least 5 months but until now you haven't even listened ONCE to her first album? o.0

nanakopy87 29th January 2010 12:16 AM

noidea,don't like that :P
i,as ayu fans since her rainbow era also didn't listen to her a song for xx album.i mean i do listen but not as much as next level :P
i almost forgot how this song like :irked

Crystal_Ageha 29th January 2010 12:29 AM

Noidea, it seems, from the 'what Ayu songs have you never listened to' thread, many Ayu fans, even years old, have never heard her first album, along with a few others from her earlier works... I know. :shakehead I, too, was baffled that so many people here have never heard every song from all the studio albums...
(Sorry, in advance, to anybody here that this applies to. But I just can't imagine not listening to, at the least, every album track and single, at least once, of somebody I'm so interested in. :\ Five months, I can understand that... But as a fan for more than a year, not hearing all of them? That just seems odd to me.)

Anyhow...
PRESENT is really pretty. :yes It's probably my least favourite off of A Song for XX, though. If you like the sound of this song, you should check out the other album tracks from the album, if you haven't already. Like Wishing. ^_^ That's another sweet one.

MissElin_ 29th January 2010 01:40 AM

I think ppl who dont listen to A Song for XX album or other songs from the early Ayu really misses out something! They are really good and the lyrics are so touching.

jean-baptiste 29th January 2010 01:45 AM

i personally LOVE the A Song for xx album. i think it's awesome.

Crystal_Ageha 29th January 2010 01:50 AM

^* I agree. :D Her voice may be awfully screechy, but I think it's worth it, hah. ^^' And yeah, the lyrics are touching. They fit the sweetness and simplicity, of both Ayumi and the music itself, perfectly. :yes They show a very young, slightly naive and innocent part of Ayu that is long gone; it's neat to look back on, even if you weren't a fan back then.

mobius 29th January 2010 01:51 AM

lol, I just listen to this album last month during my Ayu's marathon. Its actually a very good album.

nemesisyume 29th January 2010 01:52 AM

a song for xx was one of the first ayu albums I heard
I love it :yes

jean-baptiste 29th January 2010 02:19 AM

^now that you mention it, it's the very first ayu album i ever heard! (well the first half of it at least. xD)

@Crystal: that's how i feel about it too! it's before the MAJOR fame, and when i listen to it, it makes me feel nostalgic in a way. it's very simple and inncocent (like you said). and it also makes me sorta sad, cause ayu's all grown up now.
in a big way, that innocence is gone.

AyUta 29th January 2010 02:24 AM

It's an okay song and album :).

a song for xx is the first album i listen and bought from ayu and i love it , her voice was so cute before

jean-baptiste 29th January 2010 06:11 AM

@Ayu World: yeah i'm the same. =p except i've heard every single one of her albums at least 4 times but very few songs are forgotten. but once i choose to hear certain songs individually then i know about it. xD

for example the latter part of the RAINBOW album didn't really intest me when I first heard it. but i know after a while i'll either stumble upon the songs or hear them in lives and i'll love them. xD
it's happened plenty times.

AyuWorld 29th January 2010 06:35 AM

lol, yeah i understand that

as me,i'm always mix up which song belong to which album specially the one from RAINBOW downwards XDD

AyumiBest 29th January 2010 06:58 AM

A song for XX is one of my favorite albums actually. Present is a really nice song. It's so happy. XD

Aditmi Krisnasaki ~II~ 29th January 2010 09:15 AM

ASFXX is the best album by Ayu (emotionally). she really write and put all her emotions to the song lyrics n ASFXX, and that's why i really love it. especially Powder Snow, I almost cry everytime I listen to it.. :D

I did an marathon on 01.01.10, it was the first time I listened to the album in one piece and I suddenly enjoyed all of it, I love how the songs tell a story. It feels like a diary.
