Sadly, Ayu was dethroned from the top 10 by a bunch of idols. WHY!?? I think male Ayu fans got a little lazy, or the male idol fans just went insane... I've concluded that this year should be taken off the record, haha. So wonky...

Anyways, Ayu ranked at number #19 apparently after a 10 year run in the top 6. I believe Ayu is also the second oldest female on the chart. Kaori Mochida is about 6 months older than Ayu...

I wish Kashiyuka was ranked higher, she is so cute.

I think that Ayu is not in the top 10 because there is a new generation of fan. And who say new generation say new idols younger too. I think it's totally normal and it's really good that she is in the top 20 again after 12 years.

I was in the process of writing the post when it was posted, so there's no way I could've known really.

Anyways, I also put in past rankings and such... so I'm not sure what's going to happen, haha.

I doubt it. Ayu just got #1 last year around this time, so I think it's just the idol boom or something right now... even someone like Namie Amuro isn't in the top 20, but that might be because of her boyfriend, haha.
