How to identify CD presses?

Hi guys, I'm just wondering:

How to identify the CD presses? Is there anything written in the CD or in the case that show the album presses? (Not the "Country" presses but like the "First" or "Second" presses)

Thanks in advance! :D

for Ayu´s CDs it´s hard to tell because most 1st press extras are external.
For Mika Nakashima eg it´s easy to tell, because all her Singles have picture label CDs.

sometimes cds come with a separate lyric sheet that contains the lyrics in different language
for example my NL cd came with a korean lyrics sheet and also said SM entertainment

lol. that's true. that has nothing to do with first press. every "standard press" utada hikaru cd I ever bought that was taiwanese or korean press came with a lyric booklet in that language. haha

Not all first presses come with bonuses. sometimes the cd itself is first press. As in, the cd is in limited quality and is considered first press. Ayu's Rock n Roll Circus is the perfect example. There is no standard press version. only first press. But then again that's a box set. Some cds come like that too. Where there is no technical standard, it's just that the cd is only available in first press. My doping panda's cd beat addiction is first press. Only way I know is that it's cd/dvd and cd/dvd version of their beat addiction single is first press. There is no standard press of beat addiction cd/dvd. lol no external bonuses there.

Internet can tell you too if you look it up.

Actually, there is a way to identify 1st press versions. You have to pay attention to the kanji. Yes, it sounds crazy, but luckily, japanese and taiwanese versions have the same kanji.
The kanji that means "first press" is this:
初回

Here are some examples (sorry, I only can use paint)

I hope they can help you.

^ yup that's 1 way to tell whether your single/album you get's a 1st press item :yes

packaging's also another hint too . Like for Namie's PAST < FUTURE album , inital 1st press pressing was a digipak for both editions of her album

it happened for BEST FICTION too

also 1st press items sometimes can take in the form of bonus track(s) which only will be found in 1st presses

it's not on the obi, it's on the sticker.

but if you are buying a used version, you might not know anymore, since the sticker is just on the plastic wrap, which 95% of the people will throw away.

here's a full view example, i had draw an arrow, in purple pointing towards it

It could be on the OBI or stickers, but I'd say normally on stickers.
