I'm an extremist, so my views are usually one way all the way or nothing at all.
If chatting will just lead to the trash can they should completely eliminate the chat rooms/off-topic sections because they are pointless. It just sounds ridiculous, to be honest. No chatting in the chat room.
Plus, it can make whatever server situations they are facing easier.
