The overseas sales numbers rarely appear before our eyes, only on very few occasions do we hear about them, and often it's rounded off... yeah, a lot has already been said in this thread and the answer to your question is nothing but that it's all quite a mystery. In many Asian countries bootlegs are extremely popular and I believe that makes counting sales numbers and releasing them to the public make no sense, since it wouldn't really reflect an artists popularity in a fair way. I believe all sales numbers, or at least number of shipped copies, are only known by avex themselves.
I made a compilation of shipped copies of Ayu CD's that I collected from avex's English homepage long time ago but I deleted it recently. There was some overseas numbers in there, too, I think. Note that shipped does not equal sold copies of CD's, shipped copies would be the CD's that avex & Ayu benefits from, but not necessarily the amount of CD's that reach the hands of fans. The RIAJ awards are also based on the shipped amount of CD's rather than sold.
