Whoever is changing her Wikipedia page to Avex numbers needs to stop.
If you are going to give Avex numbers then you need to:
1. Convert all the other numbers to Avex numbers to prevent people who don't follow too closely with sales from thinking that the numbers you're giving are all from Oricon.
2. All the other artists needs to change their numbers to the numbers that the company spits out to standardize the sales, making it fairer to compare sales among different artists.
3. Oricon is the most trusted site among the public for sales numbers and if you want to use Avex numbers, you'll need to explain why Avex numbers are more reliable than Oricon using objective sources. NOT soures from Avex themselves.
I understand that Oricon may have its own biases here and there, but that is a problem with ANY form of data collection. In the US, we trust Billboard. In Japan, they trust Oricon. It is not fair to all of a sudden switch to another source for sales info without validating yourself first. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, not an Ayumi fan webpage. It is not a place for you to make her look good. It's a place for you to give neutral information about Ayumi for Ayumi fans AND Non-Ayumi fans alike.
If you must post Avex numbers for whatever reason, it is better to post it with an emphasis on AVEX numbers by putting "Avex sales" in brackets beside the sales number.
