Well, if there's one thing we've learned from Ayu's lyrics up to now, it's that she says she's okay when she really isn't, and that it's not her nature to be comfortable relying on people.

I feel so ***** saying this, because I never give a rat's behind about celebrity gossip, and I hate when people talk about celebrities as if they know them. But I am actually concerned about her. I actually feel kind of hurt for her. Ending a 7 year romantic relationship the terms that Ayu seems to describe, in my immediate impression, only means one thing: two people love eachother, but circumstances won't allow them to live out their love the way their hearts want. It's like finding the love of your life, but at the completely wrong time. Letting that go is more hard than most know.

A plausible speculation might be that Ayu isn't ready to grow up and settle down (as we've heard her describe her personality and way of life in past interviews and lyrics), and maybe he was tired of waiting for her.
