This is actually untrue. The only LAMB leftover on The Sweet Escape is "Wonderful Life". She ended up using new material for all of the album (except 1, of course.)
on topic though,
unreleased songs don't unnecessarily mean they weren't up-to-snuff, maybe she just had other things she wanted to release more?
