It's not the first time they're on the same show. They've been scheduled on Music Station together before, and they seem to be friends (though to what degree is questionable, it's not like Ayu's and Hikki's which is rather overt, especially on that episode when she performed part of me and they were laughing at mihimaru GT with their "peropero", and of which Hikki has already confirmed with a thank you Ayu note on her blog.)

But I don't see why tensions will flare? Rivalry doesn't get bad till such an extent.
If it was Ai Otsuka vs. Ku, now that would be scary. Those two have rumours of a fight going on, but well, guess we'll never know for sure.
