Well I live in Tennesse and our population is roughly 95% Caucasian 3% Black and the rest are a mix of Asian and Latino, etc. There isn't much culture here and I listen to all types of music like soca, dance hall, Asian music and dance, etc. The only music popular around here is rap, rock and country and that is also according to your race. I have a friend who is Black and she listens to metal and people would make fun of her (White and Black). Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, my friends don't know I listen to Ayumi. They don't even know I listen to rock, soca, dance hall, trance, axe, merengue, reggaeton, etc. I'd be too embarrased to tell them. There are a few friends who I would probably tell but they probably wouldn't like it. People here don't like listening to music that they can't understand (except dance hall). For the most part when I listen to my iPod, I turn the music down so people can't hear it. I'm surprised that you all have the same problem too. I was under the impression I could have been the only one. I don't see why people just can't pay attention to the music. IMO, who cares about the words. They may be nice but it's just music.
