if you are thinking buying from them movie DVD with english subtitle, read this. i am speaking from my recent personal experience. it might not happen to you, then you have no problem. i opened the DVD "Muoi" Korean horror film last time, only then I realized they sent me "Region 3" version, instead "Region 1" for U.S. after i talked to the customer service, i agreed to play it on my PC. Here is the first lesson to learn, check the region code as soon as you receive the package. I always ordered DVD in "region 1" i know that much. anyway, i was willing to compromise because the rep told me that don't have region 1!? Enuf about this said here. before the movie started to play, i made the necessary change regarding c.c., sub, to eng-u.s.. But when movie started to play, everything is shown in Korean, i was totally lost as to where to "click" to get to "where". i even checked SAMI format in the media player to capture the c.c., sub. I made at least 6 calls with the first 15 minutes. one of the rep even told me to search the web and download the necessary software to play Eng. sub.!? GOT TO BE KIDDING!
finally when I called them saying i was ready to return this DVD. she said "No, you can't because you already opened the case". i was very angry at that time, decided to take a break from this movie and pop in the Japanse animation DVD "My neighbor totoro" which I bought from local Fry's Electronic. The switching of dub, sub. between pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~-Eng is as easy as snapping your fingers. The main lessos to be learn here is when you order DVD, double check to make sure you receive with correct "Region code". If you rely on english subtitle, you want to make sure it is easy to get to whether you play it in stand-alone DVD, or PC. Customer service certainly is no help at all in this area.
I finally got it to work after I "clicked" at everything I could find the the screen. If you ask me I still don't know what i did to get the eng. sub. only when the main feature starts to play, the eng. sub appears, but the openning page still shows only Korean. If you read, understand Korean, you will be fine, but then you would'nt need Eng. sub, right? sorry to have you read such a lengthy post.
