I started tearing up half-way through the video, and nearly burst full out into tears when Ayu collapses/turns into the marionette.
I don't think I've EVER been so moved by a music video before. It's a combination of things, really--Ayu sitting on the bench originally seems so hopeful as she watches the marionette show and then it's contrasted with the darker image of her, turning and walking away, only to turn around and have the man be gone.. Just watching the build up of it was painful... you could see her face just struggling either not to cry or to maintain this mask, and you could SEE the mask crumbling as she's singing and I just.. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. The part of the girl marionette was so haunting, and so heartbreaking.
The fact that she finally does get up and walk towards the cab is just so...

She knows she has to leave, she's READY to leave, but there's just one last thing she has to say before she can do it.
