well, people seem to be discussing more about how the PV and shuya looks scary in the other thread, and how it's one of the best PV in this years and how the end didn't make sense LOL

This is what I posted there:

"This is how I interpret this PV:

By reading the lyrics, I think the marionette show represents ayu past relationship. The real ayu is the media+fans eyes to what her life is. In that matter, she pretended her relationship to be beautiful and perfect, to be the role model (the way she's happily portrayed on TV on the PV), but it had flaws. ayu and her lover hid those imperfections by portraying a fake appearance of what it really looked like in order to try to maintain the appearances. This is the reason why "memories" loojk so beautiful, you'll be reminding of the good moments and erase the issues, but her relationship was troubled. In peopple's eyes, they were a perfect couple (reason why everytime the real ayu look at the marionette play, they are all back in their place and shape). It got to a point she was living like a lifeless being, she was not living what she really wanted for her, so she had to put that mask out (when the marionette's eyes becomes real and the strings are broken and she's set free), by admiting their love had flaws and there was more to the "memories" than those fake appearances, the real thing was the love wasn't the same anymore. It explain why she decided to announce her breaking up, despite the fact she was later criticized for ruining the relationship with the "good guy" by some media personalities. However, as she mentioned in past interviews and even on the lyrics, she didn't really care what people would think after that:

"Now, let's stand up without fear
For the sake of no one else

And rip off the masks
With our own hands"

It's interesting how both the song and PV seem to be related to Together When...:

-The PV for Together When... portrays a simillar story, the marionettes theme, the two lovers, the breaking up.
-After Together When... follows Marionette -prelude- and Marionette in sequence on the album GUILTY."
